discovered this beautiful cafe on google, went there for brunch catching up with a quality sister - what caught me was their unique menu - i had the beetroot & haloumi on chilli quinoa + red velvet latte XD. The setting was quaint, service gracious, food very good! :D I look forward to returning& trying more of their yummy goodness!

if you like beautifully presented food, that tastes as good as it looks, an ever changing menu, (be sure to check out the specials board!) great, friendly service, decent prices, filling servings with indoor/outdoor seating, Southside bistro is a fantastic place to enjoy all that~! my friend & I would give it 6 stars out of 5 if that were possible!
I had the peri peri prawns lunch special with complimentary iced lemon tea, then mochi ice cream for dessert.
superb!

perhaps I'm partial to this place-the chef does come from my home state after all! (Sarawak, East Malaysia) but nevertheless, since they opened & my parents told me about it, I had to go try it for myself, even though I really haven't tasted much food from my home state in more than a decade! I've tried samples of most dishes, I'd recommend the seafood laksa, the Gordon chicken rice,
also the satay - 4 sticks of CHUNKY chicken
[and these are *the* chunkiest chicken skewers I've ever seen, served on a truly beautiful peanut sauce!!]
plus try some Sarawak Apam Balik for a dessert / snack with a Malaysian difference! the family-owned & run business are all very friendly & will definitely serve you well. stop by & try some gourmet eats from a Malaysian Master Chef!

first time I came here to catch up with a good friend, i was impressed by the decor, quality food & decent price - although the serving of jellyfish on my soba noodles was pithy, .. i noticed they had a sushi train going & made a note to return just to try that out - i wasn't disappointed!! so much so that i came back a few days after!! definitely worth a try if you haven't already :)

away on a camping weekend with some good brothers, searching out nearby restaurants to try, this Indian eatery was so conveniently located to our accommodation and we had a feast!
(butter chicken, beef curry, vegetable entree platter, pumpkim masala, 2x rice + 2x garlic roti bread for $97 total to stuff 4 men, not bad at all in my books! the butter chicken was finger-licking GOOD! so don't forget to order a naan / roti bread to wipe up all the gravy goodness if you order that one~!

imet a good friend for lunch & we walked around nearby Parramatta station to see what was available. I couldn't help but notice the sign for the 2-tier lunch platter they had on offer - for $20 per person, even though i wasn't *that* hungry, looking at it & inhaling the fragrances once inside was enough to get my appetite going! their rice was something else - I'm not usually a big rice eater, but I had to finish what they offered, it was just ~so~ good!!
have since returned for another good friend's birthday dinner - I tried the Lamb casserole (topkapi guvech) $26 + chilli prawns entrée - $18.9 .. entirely filing & delightful for your tastebuds, great, friendly service, definitely worth a try if you haven't already!

after discovering a favourite Korean restaurant @ Warrigal Square had closed, my good friend & I decided to try here for lunch on a Sunday - I had the beef bone broth noodle soup ($13), which was nutritious & satisfying :)
she had the bulgogi+ honey citron ice tea (waitress' recommendation) which she found to be pleasantly refreshing! for $15.5
the staff were friendly & helpful, I'd be happy to return & sample the rest of their menu!

I tried the chilli prawn masala - YUMMY!! for $21.9 + roti bread - which came out bigger than I thought to 'lick' up all the curry goodness aftermath for $2.5 :D~~
finger-licking Indian goodness enjoyed in a great setting, attended to by wonderful staff, definitely worth returning to again~!

quality local butchery - i normally stay away from processed meats like sausages etc, but my girldfiend wanted some - we got 5 *thick* beef sausages for under $6!
a most friendly butcher, local, great prices, healthy, what more could you want?!
I have been back again, this time my girlfriend wouldn't let me have any of her chicken sausages - somehow she downed all 4 of them herself - testimony to how yummy they must've been [!!]

came here for dinner with good mates, definitely NOT the place to dine on a budget! ;P decor was nice, staff were pleasant & accomodating with our many requests, decor was bright, business was buzzing ~ 7pm on a Thursday night.
I was wanting something with seafood, the cheapest offering was a soybean paste stew for $13 - the only "seafood" in it were 3 or maybe 4 small pipis ... my mates had the bulgogi ($17) & seemed satisfied, though one commented his beef was abit tough .. not a whole lot of incentive to return ...
