We often stop here to purchase our fresh ground coffee. For a 1kg bag, you also receive a complimentary coffee as well. There is a selection of pastries and other coffee shop items on sale as well if you wish, but the real reason to come here is to have what must be the best coffee experience in QLD. The baristas are first class, the coffee is exceptional, and the atmosphere is busy and friendly.

This review is for Poet's Cafe, Montville QLD

We have been to Poet's Cafe a few times now. At the bottom of the hill in Montville's Main St, it is a regular stop for us as the coffee is always consistently good.

We've tried the scones twice, on both occasions the scones were good, on one occasion the cream served with the scones was curdled.

The cake selection is good, but the portions could be slightly bigger for the price.

The staff are generally good, and efficient and the premises clean.

At the top of the hill in Montville's Main St, The Edge has an upmarket lunch menu offering and it's terrace is in a prime location overlooking the Sunshine Coast from Coolum to Caloundra.

We ordered the open steak sandwich and chicken panini for lunch, as well as a glass of wine each. Both were an excellent standard, although somewhat expensive at approximately $27 each. There is a water station inside the restaurant for patrons.

The service was good, and all of the staff were friendly and efficient, and there is car parking directly underneath.

Recommend.

Approximate cost: $27

This review is for Bite My Biscuit, Geebung QLD

A small coffee shop in the Geebung shopping strip, Bite My Biscuit is a breath of fresh air, and a much needed small business alternative in this area.

Apparently the shortbread biscuits are excellent, but we only ordered coffees this time. The cappuccino and skinny latte were excellent, the right strength and temperature, but the babyccino was a let down, too much milk, and not enough foam.

The premises were clean, and the person serving was friendly. We will return.

Unfortunately, this is currently the only take away alternative on Newman Rd in the evening, and the dine in option is not really attractive, with a stark interior and bare tables, it's hardly inviting. We have never seen anyone eating inside.

We ordered Fish Cakes and Satay Chicken for entree, Green Chicken Curry and Crispy Chicken with Cashew Nuts for mains.

The fish cakes were truly awful - rubbery and not freshly cooked. This must have been the microwave 'ding' I heard coming from the kitchen.

The rest of the dishes were good however, and we would order them again.

With a bit of a revamp of the front dining room to attract more custom, this could become a real alternative in Geebung, but as it currently stands it is a bit of a sad experience.

The staff member hidden behind the front counter was friendly, and you have the ability to order online as well via their website.

Approximate cost: $16

This review is for Don't Fret Pet, Spring Hill QLD

We use Don't Fret Pet (DFP) for our dog instead of a boarding kennel when we go on holidays and we can't take her with us.

DFP allows us to board our dog with a family for the duration of her stay, quite often with other pets, making her time away from us more enjoyable and relaxed, as she is cared for and interacted with all of the time, instead of for just 30 mins or so a day, and spending the rest of the day in a run.

We have had poor experiences with boarding kennels before, and are so glad to have found this minding service. We have met a few different minders in the past in both Vic and QLD, and all have treated our dog well during her stays.

When signing up for the service, you need to do a pre-stay visit with your dog to meet the minders and introduce your animals to each other to make sure they get along, and also to see if you like where she will be staying and who she is staying with. If all parties are agreeable, then you proceed to finalise paperwork via email.

The process is simple, and the pricing is better than a kennel, and the outcomes are superior.

Highly recommend.

This review is for Fresh Sensations Fruit And Veg, Chermside QLD

This store always has a great selection of fresh fruit and veg and really good prices. They also have a comprehensive deli section with fresh smallgoods and cheeses (which are also available pre-packed), and also a great pantry section with gourmet vinegars, oils and other 'exotic' lines, such as dips and yogurts.

The store is always clean, and the staff are efficient and friendly.

A modern, spacious and clean medical practice with reasonable parking on Gympie Rd.

The staff and doctors we have met so far have all been very friendly and professional.

My dog is seen here, and overall the experience is pretty good. The staff are friendly, the premises are clean, and the advice is not too over the top. (i.e they don't tend to flog you too much extra stuff).

This review is for Dragonfly Cafe, Carseldine QLD

We arrived about 15 mins before closing, looking for something to drink. We were studiously ignored by the waitstaff, until we made it apparent we weren't going anywhere. On asking for a table, we were informed that they were about to close, to which I replied, 'Oh, I thought you didn't close until 4pm'. (Hint, hint).

After 'asking' someone, we were granted a table, and ordered our drinks.

The setting here is really lovely, surrounded by plants, fountains and a pond, and a tranquil setting to relax in. Whilst we didn't eat, the menu looked comprehensive, and the sort of place we would like to return to to try.

Drinks were about $10 each for a glass of bubbly.

The nursery itself was great, with really friendly staff, and a great selection of plants. A much more pleasant place to purchase flora than one of those hardware places.
