No, not very insurancey at all. Been a customer for years, but AAMI just awarded a claim against us when the other driver was speeding the wrong way down a one way street! They didn't even bother to make contact with us to get our version of events even though our car is insured with them as well. They didn't even look at our initial report of the accident from the day and use that in the claim assessment. They just sent a letter of demand for the full amount of the claim, not even considering our own insurance policy with them. Waiting to wake up from this customer service nightmare. We then called to explain our concerns with the judgement and were patronisingly abused on the phone. Extraordinary. What a disgrace.

Basically we had AAMI as a business insurance for a beauty clinic. We thought we were insuring our beauty machines under machinery as anyone in the industry calls them "beauty machines". A machine broke down and surprisingly they say that beauty equipment is supposed to be covered under electronic equipment and not machinery. When you sign up for the insurance no one really explains which section of the policy meets your needs or anything else. They just send you the policy disclosure statement where you need to be a lawyer or an engineer to fully understand it. To sum we were able to claim only 1/5 of the value of the machine, obviously we disputed it but they said the policy is clear. We are cancelling the insurance right away, well done AAMI.

Had to make a clain early last year because of a hit run on my carwhile it was parked. Because there were two independant witnesses, who gave me their phone numbers and names and the number of the car which hit mine I went to the police who reported that number as non-existant. I rang AAMI for their advice and was told togo to their recommended repair shop at a pre-determined time and get a quote. This repair shop was a one stop shop for quote and repair. When they took my car I was given a taxi at no cost to me to get me home. When it was time to pick up my car, once agaon a free taxi ride took me to get my car.
Today I hit my own gate. AAMI covered the reapirs to my car the same as before (the excess this time is mine of course). In both instances, th eoperators could not have been more patien or helpful for me and I have to give them all five stars for everything.

Made a claim on the weekend. Excellent customer service and they arrange a repair on Monday. I like there safe driving app as it gives you feedback on some of the things you can work on plus you get rewards.

Had my car insurance with AMMI my car got stolen in April it took 4 months for them to pay my claim out after I had to provide all bank account detail, criminal history traffic history and a lot more it was very disappointing I felt like I was the criminal never had insurance with them again

I have been with AAMI for about 10 years now for everything - car, home, landlord insurance. I have had one claim when my car got stolen and 1 claim on my home insurance. Both times I was amazed at how helpful, professional and trustworthy AAMI were. The claim process was very smooth and fast. Through my experience I would not go anywhere else, and I recommend them to all my friends and family.

I just had to renew my comprehensive car insurance. The lovely lady I dealt with was more than happy to reduce my premium amount further. She gave me great advice on what I needed to know about learner drivers and P plate drivers. I have been with AAMI for a long time and am always satisfied with the help and advice I need especially now I have a learner driver behind the wheel.

i have been insure with aami for a few years now. i found the prices to be reasonable and
service wonderful.They staff are always happy to help and have lots of information to share. i have only been in 1 accident but
but found aami to be so easy to deal with.

I've been insured with AAMI for about 20 years for my vehicles. In that time luckily I've only had 1 claim but I found them to be very easy to deal with. Now that they have the option of changing the excess, my insurance is under $350 for comprehensive, which is wonderful as insurance can be extremely expensive otherwise.

I had my car insured with AAMI as they had the best rates, and cheapest comprehensive insurance. When I unfortunately had to make a claim they were very professional, prompt and friendly. My car was repaired like new! Very happy with the work done and they my claim was handled!
