I had my vehicle insured with AAMI because they have the best rates and most comprehensive insurance on the market. It is also an easy process to go through and they dont make you feel like a criminal unlike some insurance companies.
I have been with AAMI for many years now and I have found them to always be helpful when I have rang up.
I found them to be cheaper then other company's.
I've never had a problem with them and will stay with them.
Over the years I have stuck to using AAMI for my greenslip insurance because they offered me the lowest price based on my age, location and car type. Other insurers just wouldnt or couldnt match the quote that AAMI supplied me. I always bought my policy online and with ease. A hassle free experience every time over the 5 year period I purchased my greenslip with them (on a 6 monthly to 12 monthly basis). Only recently has a rival company been able to out-do AAMI on price.
One of the best insurance company when it comes with claims. I was very happy how they handled my case. I had special driver taking me home while my car was assessed and when it was ready they again send someone to take me to my car. They are bit more expensive then others but no pain when you need them.
Definitely agree about being more expensive!! I have since changed car insurance as I have found a better deal. In all honesty and credit to AAMI I had a claim processed by AAMI when a car hit me Not my fault and AAMI were brilliant in resolving my claim without any hassles.
WOW, I thought Telstra had the worst service, but I had never had an insurance claim with AAMI before!! I have had my caravan in their recommended repair shop for nearly 3 months, I paid the excess, I sent photos of the damage. I have followed up OVER and OVER again by email and telephone with the repair shop and AAMI.
I have been given the run around nonstop. The caravan has still not even been assessed weeks after they finally called and said they were sending an assessor! Every time I call I am put on hold for at least 15-30 minutes and you never get to speak to someone that can actually help because all those people knock off at 5pm. I have spoken to 3 different people tonight and they never called back as promised. I told a supervisor that I wished to make a formal complaint and he said there was no way to do this and he would pass on a message (yeh right).
We have several vehicles insured with AAMI but the next time they are due I will be shopping around! AAMI are happy to take your money 24/7 but try and make a claim and you don't get top talk to anyone. DO NOT USE AAMI.

Sorry to hear you are having so much hassle with your caravan. We have made two claims with our insurance company Allianz in the last five years and both times were hassle free. Our last claim relates to when we were hit by lightening in Nov 2012. Once again they were fantastic with organising repairs, paying out the emergency repairs and incidental costs related to being in an isolated area when the incident happened.
We've had multiple policies with AAMI for years but have never had to make a claim before. Then we had an accident and our car needed to be repaired. AAMI told us it would take 3 days. 26 days later and we still don't have our car back. Their website says it usually takes 7-10 days.

I was the same as you! my car value decreases year by year .... but my policy kept going up! Where is the logic by AAMI? Not fair i say. I have switched to another insurer and saved lots of money on my policy
I can't begin to describe how happy I have been with the service and prices we get from AAMI, I only wish I'd been with them sooner! We just bought a new car and got several quotes from different companies but yet again AAMI topped them all. I always get the friendliest team members on the phone who are always willing to help and I never wait long on the phone either, you do really talk to a real person like they say which I love because there is nothing worse than calling somewhere only to have to press a series of numbers with a recorded assistant who doesn't understand what you're saying, never happens at AAMI!
I have had many dealing with AAMI lately and it seems that their level of customer service is getting worse each time. Their insurance is a good price, but if you factor in all the phone calls and wasted time when you make a claim it may not be worth it after all!
Their greenslips have certainly gone up in NSW they are just about the most expensive around now.
Can't say I was impressed when I was with them. They increased the policy so much each year it became unaffordable. On asking them why, they told me that the area I was in was a high risk area, Funny since I read the local papers all the time and never found cars went missing at all if ever.
I compared with other company then asked them as I had been with them for so long and never had a claim would they match it or better it, they said No that price was the best they could do.
Now I have better insurance for $200 a year less.
