These are the most dishonest P.C technicians (if they really are technicians) I've ever known. They will get into your home to see how many computers you have, then they'll say they all have viruses. They will take all your computers to their site in Cranbourne and then will say they all have all sorts of problems and will charge you lots of money. One of my pcs had a problem, they said it was the hard drive that was corrupted, they then claimed they replaced it with a new one, but the problem continued, then they said it was windows that was corrupted and they needed to re-install it. I had window 7 and they installed windows 10 without my permission, when they had previously recommended not to install Windows 10 as it had too many problems. They then charged me for installing windows 10 even I did not ask for it to be installed. The problem with my P.C continued so I decided to google the error message and with the help of the microsoft community I was able to fix the problem without paying any money. They also said that my mac P.C had second hand parts, when I bought it brand new from Apple and they wanted to charge me even when they had previously said they would not charge for it. I will report these dishonest people, they do not deserve to be in business!

Totally agree with you,our computer has not been the same since that TIM got his hands on it,would never recommend them stay clear,DODGEY to say the least, only a few weeks ago tried to rip off my friends teenage son,who had a keyboard fixed which was meant to be under warranty, they wanted to charge him $175 until his mum threatend that TIM with consumer affairs, something has to be done about that business, notice he hasn't got an fb page, wonder why !! But if you type his business into fb there a few unhappy people.

So I needed a screw for my laptop --- that's right, one single screw, less than 5mm long.... So I went in to ask if they had some. I took along one of the same size so I could make sure I was getting it right.
There were two blokes working in the shop. Both were very kind and helpful.
Unfortunately I didn't catch the first one's name. He went in back and brought out a couple of screws to check. They were close but not quite a winner.
Then he deferred to the second bloke, TONY, who had just finished with another customer. He had a quick look out the back, then about 30 seconds later came out with a good candidate he'd just 'ripped out of an old clunker' referring to a malfunctioning for-spares laptop he had out the back.
I said, 'sweet!' followed by 'what do I owe you?' and was pleasantly surprised when he joked (You know those screws cost $150 each!)
We had a good laugh after which it was clear that no charge was necessary.... (it was, after all, just one tiny computer-screw).

All in all this experience has been thoroughly refreshing! Have you ever been in an electronics/computer store and felt you had to avoid the workers as much as possible lest they co-opt you into buying something you don't need? A cynical person would say that's the norm in the business world, but the people at ELITE computers have restored a small piece of my faith in the goodness of people --- THEY ACTUALLY WANTED TO SOLVE MY PROBLEM. It was great! That was their top priority for the time I was there.
Any further purchasing decisions were left to me, the customer, to make. As it should be!
ELITE Computers are now my first port of call for all things computer-related.
And you know what, that screw fit into my laptop perfectly.
Thanks guys!

My Lenovo laotop of 8+ years decided it didn't want to turn on one day. After some research, it seemed to be an issue with the power supply, but I wasn't 100% sure. Instead of going through the hassle of trying to fully determine the issue, find and order the proper replacement, attempt to install it myself, and then cross my fingers that the issue is solved, a quick Yelp search for PC repair with excellent reviews led me to Elite. I took my computer in on Monday and the issue was resolved by Tuesday, at which point I received a call with the diagnosis explaining everything before any work was done. It was, in fact, my power supply, and I was even given a couple price points for different ones based on how much juice I wanted. My PC seems to be working fine again, and I am very happy with the quick, efficient, professional, cost-effective service that I received. I'm hoping I won't have any issues with my computer going forward, but if so, I will definitely be taking it back to Elete, as well as referring them to friends or family that are having issues of their own.

I originally saw Elite in action when they were servicing the IT network of a migration company in Dandenong. In 2009 I established my own migration agency and immediately appointed Elite to service all our IT requirements and have been forever thankful that I did. They respond so quickly to any issue or problem I encounter.

Tim and his staff demonstrate great passion and dedication for their work.
They have an exceptionally high degree of professionalism and competency and are most trustworthy and efficient.

I would highly recommend Elite to anyone!

I had a brand new laptop which he was supposed to remove a virus from. He was to return it to me within 2 days. When I had not heard from him I rang him and he said he had been to busy to look at it. I had a gut feeling something was wrong, so I looked up reviews for Elite computers. Next day I rang him again and said I was going to pick up my laptop and not to touch anything on it. When I picked up my computer He swore to me that no one had touched or opened the laptop. I got home an it was not loading kept coming up as hard disk problem. My wife suggested I take it back to place of purchase as it was still under warranty. The technician straight away could tell that it had been tampered with. The security seal was broken and the screws were not even in place. I rang Elite Computers to ask him what did he do to my laptop. He said no one touched it and started swearing on the phone. When the real technician opened up the back he showed me that the original solid state drive was missing and replaced with a cheap second hand Kingston unit. The 4GB ram was missing. (So much for Elite Computers saying he never touched the laptop at all). I am grateful that the Harvey Norman computer Technician was honest enough to open the computer and show me what was removed there and then. Never ever will I trust Elite computers again.

I have had similar problems with this business. I wish I had read the negative comments before taking my pcs to these people, they do not deserve to be in business.

NEVER use this company. They have excuse after excuse as to why it it takes weeks to do a 5 minute job then promise to take it home and do it in his own time! Sure.
They charge like a wounded bull and then the problem isn't even fixed. You go back and they say it's something else!
Stay away, FAR away from this shonkster.

I wish I had of read this page of past reviews before I took my laptop to elite computers... I had the exact same experience as one of the reviews on here. I took my laptop in to have a virus removed was told it would take 2 days at most... a lot of excuses and 8 days later I got it back they "successfully"removed the virus replaced my "broken" fan which worked fine prior to dropping off.. updated to windows 7 and installed kaspersky anti virus for me... I got it home to find I still had the same problems before I dropped it off inface some things were even worse!I contacted kaspersky as I did some research and found that the antivirus software elite installed on my laptop had compatability problems with windows 7 which elite also installed. I thought kaspersky could help and they told me they had numerous complaints from people who had their program installed by elite computers cranbourne and to take my laptop back to elite to "fix" again. Another 4 days at elite (they again assured me it would be done by midday the following day) and now they say that my hard drive is faulty and they have to replace it... i explained that i desperatley need it back asap for work and the guy at elite assured me he would take it home and fix it as I had already waited almost 2 weeks on an originally quoted 2 day fix. The next day turned into 4 more days from when he was supposed to "take it home" to fix overnight. slumped with another big bill for their second attempt at fixing it i took my laptop home to find other problems now with it! After $500 dollars to elite my laptop is running worse then it ever has before. The hard drive that was supposed to be bigger and better that elite computers installed is slower then my previous one and constantly freezes. If anyone is thinking of doing business with these crooks I strongly urge you to reconsider... this business is DODGY!!!!!

I have just had a similar experience with Elite computers. I took it in for a new fan and received a change of hard drive, a downgrade of my operating system, complete loss of all software and most files, much of it professional grade, an apparent, but oddly convenient virus, and total denial for having touched anything but the fan. Interested in a class action at all?

we had exactly the same experience as the two comments above when we took our hard drive in to be repaired may/June,wasn't fixed the first time so took it back, and was charged again. Our computer has never been the same, would never go there again and would warn other to stay clear, the owner is a total bullshit artist.I would be interested Tinka.

My son's laptop stopped charging properly. Took in here and they rang him later to tell him that "the IO board is all blackened and fried" and they'd need to order a new one. 1 week later they were still making promises about when the part would arrive. Eventually they returned his "repaired" computer, but the same problem cropped up again within 3 days. Took it back, and the owner now says "It's probably the charging jack". Shouldn't they have changed this when they changed the board? They have now had it for 2 days, with more promises and speculation about what the problem is and "oh sorry we've been super busy. I will take it home tonight and work on it myself". I have overheard him saying this exact line to other customers. So to sum up, no proper information about what the problem is, veeeerrrry slow service, and unnecessary work performed.
