The manner of the staff. They were very focused on our pet's welfare and very reassuring. We couldn't fault the service. The staff were wonderful.

We had our 1 year old lab in during this year. He stayed for a couple of weeks and we took advantage of the training for life program too. It was great and everyone from phone staff, trainers, reception etc was great. We used the 'drop off' service at our local vet which is great and took the hassle away at the start of the holiday. Place looks great and importantly dog was happy and not stressed when we picked him up!! thanks soo much

This was the second time we have placed our dog Trigger in the wonderfully caring hands of the Hanrob staff. We are always welcomed with warmth, and Trigger is looked after exceptionally. The best thing for us is that Trigger settles in quickly when he gets home again, and he always does this. He always seems happy and energetic when we pick him up, which shows us he has had a positive time at Hanrob. I absolutely love the holiday report card you get at the end of the stay, and how any special requirements for our dog are welcomed without fuss.

Wonderful work Hanrob, please continue this fantastic service. I am sure Trigger looks forward to his next stay!

I was very disappointed!!! My poor dog come back home having lost weight and having severe eye ulcers. The ulcers were not their fault but they did not seek medical attention.Hanrob did call the day of pick up to tell me to get the vet to look as he had had weepy eyes the night before but he in fact had severe tear staining on large area of face and forelegs were he had been rubbing ,this extreme staining could only have occurred over a period of time as confirmed by my vet. One would think with the amount of money I spent he would have been cared for better... Shame on you Hanrob!!!

could not agree with you more. we had really bad experience at Melbourne facility too. They do not treat pets well. We have already avoided few people from putting dogs there.

I have used Hanrob pet hotels twice now and although I have not been to the facilities myself, it is great that they offer a pick up service from my vet. My dog came home smelling like she'd been washed although I didn't ask for it so thank you. She is always contentedly tired when she comes back as though she's had and active and happy time. I like the personal report card she gets too. I have used other dog kennels before and I think it would be good to have a Facebook page of general photos of the day with the dogs out and about that I could see as part of the service.

Sounds like they have improved over the years because I left my dog here years ago and they beat him over the nose and I had to take him to the vet. Hopefully new owners because I would NEVER have recommended them to anyone!

I booked my dog in for the 18 day dog training program. When talking to staff on 3 different occasions regarding the training problem I was assured that they would be able to "potty train" my dog. On arrival at Hanrob I filled in my form for what I wanted the training to achieve, and also questioned if I needed to provide the equipment to train him. The receptionist read it over and assured me they provide everything.
Three days later I received a call from the trainer to check in on my puppy's training progress, he went over the training and didn't mention the Potty training so I asked how it was going. The trainer sounded very confused, and told me that Hanrob didn't offer potty training… upon hearing this I decided it was best to get my dog back and request a refund, as the only reason he was at Hanrob was for the potty training, everything else I could manage at home. The trainer put me through to a manager who was at first very helpful. She offered a full refund and let me know that I could come and pick him up the next day (a working weekday). I explained that I work full time and it wasn't possible to miss work to go and pick him up, and I hadn't requested leave as the dog was meant to be in there for another 15 days.

The manager expected me to pay for the rest of the weeks boarding, and to collect him on Saturday. Ridiculous as my dog was only in the facility because misleading information from booking and reception staff. I didn't think it was reasonable to end up out of pocket for the facilities mistake. The manager eventually offered up that they could return the dog to my local vet free of charge, why she didn't say this in the first place is still baffling me, days later.

My dog was returned to the vet and I called to confirm that he was there. When calling the vet they assured me that, yes a dog had been returned that day from Hanrob but they couldn't confirm it was my dog as he was dropped off with no paper work, no information from the facility, not even a name, hmm…

I collected my dog thankful that this whole ordeal was over. I was wrong. Hanrob had returned my dog, but not his harness or lead. So I was back on the phones calling the Manager, who claimed it wasn't policy to take harness's or leads from the animals, and I must be mistaken (second time this manager had insinuated I was at fault). I gave Hanrob the benefit of the doubt and checked my home and car for the lead and harness. I tried to call the manager back to tell her it wasn't there, but no answer. Left a message, but no call back. The next day I called Hanrob again asking to speak to the manager, she was busy but passed on the message that she had found my dogs harness and lead. Turns out I wasn't at fault (again), but had I not called to ask, would I ever have heard back about my harness and lead?

The worst part in all this is the lack of customer service, mistakes happen and that's understandable, but I am still sitting here wondering why it was impossible for the manager to say “we are sorry for the inconvenience caused”… an apology goes a long way in these situations.

To add injury to insult my dog has come home with fleas.

The people/staff are OUTSTANDING - our pets LOVE the attention and the love they get. What makes a differnce for me is that my dogs are excited when they arrive. We also recently loss one of our "loves" - who passed away peacefully in her sleep while at Hanrob and the staff were amazing. The way it was all handled was with the upmost in kindness , love and respect. Hanrob helps us manage through a very difficult time.

Our dog received dog training as well as boarding and he came home very happy and better behaved. Everyone at Hanrob that we met and spoke to were very friendly and helpful. Great pick up and delivery service too.

A huge thank you to Hanrob Dog Trainers. What an amazing transformation we have seen in our dogs. I recently placed my two puppies with their trainers as with two young children, a business to run and tradesmen I had bitten off more that I could chew trying to train a 5 month old and 9 month old pup. Jess and Mel at Hanrob were amazing. They transformed our out of control dogs and turned the eldest dog which was very in happy and turning nasty into the most wonderful affectionate dog. I could not recommend them highly enough. Although we missed them during their stay it was worth every movement and every cent. Thank you so much for giving us the beautiful dogs we knew they could be .... We are so very grateful.
