I have been here on numerous occasions and have really enjoyed every experience. Not only are the meals enjoyable but the serving sizes are generous. The best part for me though, as having worked in customer service for over 11 years is always being greeted with a friendly smile and made to feel welcome.

The food was superb and presented well. The service was excellent and the whole dining experience was very enjoyable for our whole group.Three of our group had never been before and they all agree that they would come back time after time, for that type of food, service and experience.

Food was excellent, fresh, well prepared, flavorful, Service was quick, attentive, non intrusive and added to fun filled evening, It was so nice to see a friends eyes light up when he tried the crepes that I had ordered, we spent the evening trying each others meals, as everybody had something different with the comment, "Oh my god that's good" about the meal, everyone in our party of five had a very good evening and we left Penny Gardens with very full belly's. For service, good value for money and above all good fresh well prepared and executed food, Penny Gardens is head & shoulders above most of the restaurants in the Swan Valley, Midland & surrounding area's love it!

Wow what can I say,a family run business set in beautiful surroundings, staff that were polite and genuinely interested in what we had to say but above all the most amazing food that didn't cost the earth.
Being vegetarian I often struggle to eat out but not only was there plenty to choose from but the chef was also willing to adapt any of the dishes to suit me, fantastic!!
We have been looking for a decent restaurant for the past 3 years since coming to WA and now we have found it, not only will I recommend this to all my friends but will be returning again and again!

( they work so hard and deserve to be paid very well ) beautiful food and a great team, whether you want a quick meal or a full dining experience.

salmon patties are yummy, and the Bruschetta with a twist is awesome, fish n chips is the best
all the seafood is cooked perfectly, and the beer is cold, what more can you ask for !!!!!!!

My husband and I had been to Penny Gardens several times over the last year and have always enjoyed it. However, we happened to go to breakfast both today and last weekend and weren't quite as happy. Last week we ordered bacon and eggs with a side order of chipolatas thinking that we would get two (being written in plural) so that we could share but only received one tiny one which of course we had to cut in half. It was a pricey sausage! This week we ordered the big breakfast thinking it would be better value for money and it was definitely big. But, the mushrooms tasted like they had been pre-cooked and left sitting in liquid and the bacon would have been nicer if cooked a little longer so that there was a little bit of crispiness to it. One odd thing was that one of the eggs had a fishy taste to it so I wondered if it had been cooked in a spot on the grill that hadn't been well cleaned. Put me off a little. Overall, the breakfast was ok but not great.
Our son ordered the pancakes with chocolate buttons. These were huge and he couldn't get through it all. He enjoyed it but said that it was a little dry because the pancakes soaked up the sauce. They weren't quite as the menu described though. Perhaps he should have ordered icecream with it.
It's a shame that it's not quite how it used to be. The size of the meals isn't the issue, it's more the quality.

There's a young man and a young female on the wait staff who were brilliant. Very friendly and welcoming.

The Management of Penny Garden sincerely regrets your less than satisfactory experience upon your last couple of visits. We take this feeback very seriously and strive to do things better.
In relation to the "fishy eggs" we can assure you that it was not due to the grills not being properly cleaned. In fact, we thoroughly clean our equipment after every meal service.
Our best explanation for the eggs tasting fishy is the egg itself. Sometimes whatever the chicken eats comes out in their eggs. I myself had the same experience as you just a couple of days beforehand! I must admit, it put me off too, but I can assure you it's not because of our cleaning.
You are quite correct, you should have received 2 chipolatas. We are sorry that you only received 1 and it certainly was an expensive sausage!
May I request that if you do decide to come back at all to give us another try, that you ask to speak with Jasmine or Kat with anything that is not quite what you expect from us and we will endeavour to correct it for you right away, no problems at all! We are very approachable and happy to help.

Thanks for the comments. It's great that you monitor the feedback and take it on board. We will be back as we have had many good experiences in the past and I'm sure we will again. Thanks again.

I have been to the Penny Garden 3 times within the last two months and what a find it has been. It has a wonderful menu and all the food is so fresh. Last Sunday 8 of my girlfriends went for lunch and the place was packed out. Word of mouth is spreading fast. Great family restaurant and it was the best lemon meringue pie EVER. All cakes, sauces and marinades are made on the premises. Highly recommend and check their web site for more details.
