I had been a client of the Little Collins Street salon for the best part of the year.
The quality of the colour is very dependent on the operator and having received an unsatisfactory colour on my very first visit, returned to have the problem remedied and had my hair coloured by a terrific colourist (to whom I kept returning afterward) and fringe re-cut by the Artistic Director who kept pushing his service but was not very personable or particularly friendly while cutting.
On several visits I observed the Artistic Director inappropriately reprimanding staff in front of customers - which only makes for an unpleasant atmosphere and makes the customer feel very uncomfortable to witness this treatment of staff.
Despite this significant shortcoming, I kept returning as I was very satisfied with my cutter and colourist, who consistently gave one of the best colour and cuts that I can remember. However, on my last visit I stressed the importance of that visit and had sent pictures of what I wanted but these were ignored and almost no effort was made to understand or provide what I wanted (despite that I usually gave relatively free reign). I was treated quite rudely and felt belittled (as my requests were ignored) despite always being free with my praise to the technician. Despite being dissatisfied, no follow up was made by the salon as is often the case at other salons who are customer focussed.
As a result, I will not return and cannot recommend.
A salon treatment is supposed to provide the client with positive and personable service and, ideally, result in the client leaving in a happy and positive mindset, not the exact opposite.

Approximate cost: $240
