Best meal and service we have had in many years. Tastes with every meal were extraordinary. Waiters were attentive and extremely helpful. An extraordinary experience. However, be prepared to not worry about how much everything costs.

We went on a Sunday morning. There was a very long wait for coffee. So long we had one round when we would have preferred two. We ordered pancakes, passion eggs with salmon and a vegetarian omelette. The macchiato coffee is a tougher test of coffee and Fruits of Passion failed. It was very ordinary. The pancakes were average. They were very skimpy on the salmon with the Passion Eggs and the sauce overwhelmed all other tastes. Omelette was so so. We won't be going back.

Food tasted like the chef did not care. Coffee was the worst we've had in a long time. They forgot elements of our meal. Pancakes tasted like a brick in the stomach. Salmon eggs were on grocery store english muffins and the salmon serving was quite small. Not value for money.

The cafe refused to change a menu item as I wanted to replace one vegetable for another. They just refused. Wouldn't even discuss it. Their visa card machine seems to break down a lot forcing patrons to pay cash. Coffee is ordinary but food okay
Coffee is wonderful quality - one of the best in Melbourne - so good we buy their beans. Food is good and prices are reasonable. However, if you sit outside the service is terrible. Inside can be very loud especially when it is packed by Mums around school pick-up or drop-off time. Apparently heritage listing means they can't install sound inhibitors - real shame

They use cheap tea pots and salt & pepper shakers but staff are nice. Coffee is really ordinary so don't think about ordering a short black as per their name. TV sets are distracting. Cushion seating is dirty in crevices. Pretty good selection of food and it is priced pretty much in line with the quality.
