johnnyboy you are obviously not an indian and have no idea about north indian or south indian food! I had actually sent a complaint letter to this particular restaurant after my shocking experience here and till date i haven't received any acknowledgement or apology. On the day we had dinner there we were offered a complimentary mocktail to recompense for the pathetic food and service but that was all ! If you like the food at this place you are welcome to it but to all those Indian food lovers looking for authentic food and moreover good service one piece of advice - STAY AWAY FROM COHIN DURBAR !

another thing Johnnyboy - how do you know if a card is accepted or not at a business. Either if there is signage somewhere or if the person accepting it tells you its not accepted. Now if the person takes my card and swipes it as well - what does that mean? the card is accepted or its not accepted?? You really have no idea. Do you ??!!!

This has to one of the most pathetic restaurants I have been to in Melbourne! I ordered a Masala dosa that was served cold and I was told the Sambhar is 'just coming'. When the 'Sambhar' came it was ice cold! The Chilli Paneer we ordered was cooked in a Chinese soy sauce the Paneer was cooked like Tofu !! Certainly not from Kerala !
We paid using an American Express card and the guy told us the card has declined instead of saying that they don't accept American Express. Overall in one word - PATHETIC !
