Decided that pasta would be our choice for dinner one night. Unfortunately we chose the wrong place to eat. Both our pastas were tasteless and had very little added to the pasta. Very disappointed. One was pollo avocado and the other pasta cabonarra.
There are a number of parks under this umbrella name. The little penguins coming ashore in the evening are special and the Nobbies Rocks area has boardwalks and fantastic views in both inclement and good weather. There is an info centre there with an antartica experience and a cafe with free wifi. Both worth visitings
Spent a considerable amount of time in this impressive museum. It displays a great deal of machinery, aircraft etc. The displays show events through the veterans eyes and is a sobering experience. War is wrong and this should help bring the message across to those who think it is glamous
Large factory with an impressive showroom. Wonder array of different chocolate products which are made on the premises. Cafe here too and there are tours that sound extremely interesting which take you behind the scenes.
Our first meal on Phillip Island was here and we both enjoyed pizzas which were made in the Italian style (naturally) . They were larger than we expected and we struggled to eat all our meal. Friendly staff and lovely table looking out of the sea.
Visited this info centre and obtained local maps and ideas for a helpful staff member. Lots of things to do, places to eat and walks to do. Good experience
When driving through Rye we decided to purchase fish and chips as a takeaway meal. It was delicious and the fish was very fresh and a large serving of chips. Enough for the two of us. Enjoyed it while sitting by the sea.
Used the Queenscliff ferry to get to Mornington Peninsula. Impressed at how efficient the whole operation was. We had booked a time but arrived quite a bit earlier and was able to travel on an earlier ferry. Excellent
Always have a soft spot for Barwon Heads so we treated ourselves to salt and pepper calamari here.It was lovely sitting out by the water and enjoying the fresh food. A favourite spot.
My wife had a lovely time in this craft shop which is located in an old building. The items for sale are well display and friendly ladies are welcoming. It is well worth visiting. This visit was before the fire in the area and we hope the town is recovering.
