This review is for Martin St Cafe & Providore, Brighton VIC

Martin St never used to have any cafes, but now there's a few. This one's only been open about a month, but it's definitely the best one I've been too. Coffee is excellent and there's a cool hole in the wall at the front for take away. We had breakfast here, and the food is great - really good quality ingredients, some are home made, and well cooked. Good value too, we were surprised about the prices. Courtyard out the back is nice and sunny and relaxing.

Approximate cost: $8

We popped into the cafe part of this restaurant for a quick lunch on Sunday and were pretty disappointed. We ordered a couple of focaccias we should be pretty easy, they were already prepared in the cabinet so just needed toasting. When we finally got them (about 30 mins), they were yum, but it took forever and the waiter was pretty hopeless. Our food came out at very different times and he didn't handle it very well. Having said that, I think he eventually realised how bad the service was, and gave us an extra focaccia to take away with us which was nice. And on the drinks - the coffee wasn't very good, tea is just a tea bag, juice wasn't fresh - which is fine, but they pour it into a glass as if it is fresh and add a silly umbrella and strawberry which I thought was quite bizarre.

This review is for Nielsen Park Kiosk, Vaucluse NSW

This place is located at Shark Beach in Nielsen Park in Vaucluse. The beach is one of my fave harbour beaches - it's a great spot. This old building is part cafe/kiosk and part restaurant. Ihaven't been to the restaurant, but the take away bit is much better than most beach cafes. They have a few tables to eat at, or just take into the park or beach. Lots of really nice sandwiches and drinks. They also have pizzas, but I think that's a bit strange - wouldn't want to eat pizza at a beach, but I guess some people do.

I live interstate now, but needed to send some flowers to a friend in Melbourne. I rang up this florist - I knew them from when I used to live in Melbourne, and they were great. I told them what ocassion the flowers were for and they asked a few questions to get a feel for what I was after. They delivered on time, and apparently the flowers were great.

This shop is great for jeans - they have Seven for all Mankind, True Religion, and lots of similiar brands. Quite a big range, so can find a cut that suits. It also has tops and other clothes, but I think it's best for jeans.

This review is for Bambini Wine Room, Sydney NSW

In the small, classy bar desert that is Sydney's CBD, I was delighted to find this place recently when catching up with a friend for a drink. It's a lovely, cosy, dark wine room in a gorgeous old building. You can sit out the front too, which would be nice bc it looks over the park, but buses go past, so I think being inside is better. Nice wine list, and great nibbles. Good service. There is an associated restaurant next door. So few of these bars in the city, so it's a good find.

This is a japanese restaurant on Oxford Street - just down from the Paddington Inn. It's set up as a sushi train, which initially turned me off going there as I thought it was a gimmicky. But, the food is great, and it's a lovely cosy restaurant. You can order lots of hot food too that isn't on the train. Has nice japanese beer, sake and some wine.

New pizza restaurant - no sign but you can find it opposite the barracks. The pizza is really nice - apparently the restaurant is run by the same guys who ran the old Arthur's pizza. Fit out of the restaurant is great, especially if you sit up the back. However, it's really hot in there, and really busy. This means you can be squeezed onto small tables, and the service is pretty slow. If they picked up the service it'd be great. They also do home delivery.

This review is for Catherine Major Naturopath, Sydney NSW

Catherine Major is a naturopath with a clinic in the city which she shares with some other naturopaths. While she's only in the city 1 day a week, she's flexible with appointments and always available on the phone.

This clinic is located in the middle of the city, so really convenient for city workers. I saw Dr Cormack, who I liked and would see again. I think they specialise in women's and travel medicine and executive health (whatever that is!), but also are just normal GPs.
