The Queen Vic Market has a good range of cooking classes. I did a fish one recently and was very happy wtih it. The prices are good, better than some other cooking schools.

This is a lovely plant nursery but a bit exxy, so I wouldn't go there for a big shop, but it's great for the odd plant. They also have gorgeous garden accessories eg doormats, hanging baskets, ornaments etc.

I visited this nursery for some new pot plants and wasn't overly impressed. The plant range is not big, and the condition of some of the plants isn't great. Value of plants is quite good, but I noticed that potting mix and fertilisers etc are cheaper elsewhere.

We've hired baby car seats in both Melbourne and Sydney through this business and found them very good. We did a long term hire of a baby capsule in Melbourne, and a week hire of baby things in Sydney when we were there on holidays. It is good value, and the products they have are clean and in great condition. Delivery etc was also good. I would definitely recommend.

I've found the service here a bit hit and miss. More on the miss side really. I purchased a car seat and wanted to know whether I needed an additional buckle for the installation. The person who had sold me the seat told me to go outside to the pick up bay and read the box! I did this, but it wasn't apparent. Another lady then sold me the buckle (she didn't know either) so I got it jsut in case. Would have expected them to have a bit of knowledge about car seats.

I found the service here great. I was looking for a bbq to replace on old built in one, so it had to fit very specific measurements. I don't know anything about bbq installation, but got all the information I needed. Unfortunately, the Beefmaster BBQ that we picked up had a bent frame, that only became obvious when we tried to install it. BBQs Plus fixed it with no problem - they got the replacement in quickly (which was important as it was a birthday present) and even came to deliver it to the house free of charge. Very very good service.

I went to see Gabriella at Herbaceous for a pregnancy massage recently. She's trained in this kind of massage, so I felt in safe hands. The massage was done in really comfortable positions for pregnancy, and also in a comfortable setting. The massage itself was excellent.

We used Redline Removals to move house recently and were very happy with them. We paid an hourly rate (on a Monday $120/hour) for a huge truck and 3 guys. They worked really quickly and were careful - nothing was damaged. They were reliable, turning up 10 minutes early and getting straight into it. I would use them again. Sydney Osteopathy has osteos and massage. I've been a couple of times to one of the osteopaths, and had great results. I've been once for a massage, and it was amazing - a proper remedial massage. The office is very professional, so I felt very comfortable there. It can sometimes be hard to get an appointment as I gather they are very well known with good reputation. You might need to wait a couple of days to get in.

The food at Longrain is fantastic - it's really nice to go out for Thai which is well done and interesting. You need to plan for a night out here though, as you can't book. If you turn up after about 7 you will need to wait. Each time we've gone here we've had to wait for up to 2 hours. They have a great cocktail bar though which good service, small bites and cool music, so it's a nice spot to wait. You end up spending (and drinking) way more than you planned. A really fun night though.
