Love, love, love it! The buffet option - incredible. You get to try everything and it's totally worth it. If you've never had Sri Lankan food before, this is the perfect introduction.
I don't even know where to start... the chicken curry, the eggplant, the spicy potato... everything is delicious. Maybe a bit hot for those who are a bit sensitive, but I just devoured everything on my plate and went back for more.
Definitely recommend everyone to try it out.
Service was fantastic.

This is the place to go for a Sunday session and maybe a parma. It's the parma you know will be safe every time.. not a 10/10 but good enough. The food is good, simple, reasonably priced. My friend loved her roo burger - can't say I would enjoy that, but that's just me. The spring rolls were surprisingly really, really nice.
Really friendly staff and just a cruisey laid back atmosphere.
I haven't stayed to watch any bands, but from the posters on the wall, they do get some awesome bands in.

Approximate cost: $15

The food is supreme, the quality is outstanding. It's cosy but not noisy and the staff were fantastic. I'm usually a two course person and I skip the desert but for some reason I just couldn't get enough when I was at Red Rice. Entree was vege rice paper rolls and they were beautiful! I had a vegetarian curry and it was delicious for my main and then I finished up with some pudding and ice cream. A couple of glasses of wine in between and I had a wonderful experience.

Brilliant! I've been there a few times now and I've taken friends and family with me just to show it off. I just love the food and the prices are absolutely unreal. I'm an occasional vegetarian and I'm loving it more and more every time I visit. Go there.. you have to try it!

I normally wouldn't write a review like this but I was so appalled by the service of the manager on Sunday morning that I had to come home and immediately get this out.
My friends and I were welcomed into the cafe by a really lovely girl who was smiley and happy. When we sat down to our seats we were feeling relaxed and were enjoying ourselves. The girl took our coffee orders and we started chatting away to each other.
A young man came bursting out of the kitchen with some breakfast plates and aggressively placed them in front of some fellow patrons. I just shrugged it off, these things sometimes happen. He then walked up to the girl and I could see his body language was still very aggressive and extremely confronting. He walked towards our table and yelled across the restaurant at the people working in the kitchen. His language was absolutely appalling. He was actually yelling and swearing across at least 10 patrons including children.
It got even worse - he abused the staff, made derogatory and sexist comments about his staff and customers and made us feel incredibly uncomfortable. We were feeling so uncomfortable we didn't want to confront him until we were ready to leave.
Upon confronting him, he told us to keep our opinions to ourselves, refused to look us in the eye and was in no way remorseful about his digusting behaviour.
I feel sorry for the owner and the staff at this cafe. I was pretty obvius to everyone that the girl had been crying and we could even see that her hands were shaking. I just wanted to take her away from that place. It could have been a great experience but I will never recommend this cafe- bar to anyone purely based on this guys behaviour.
