Stopped off for coffee and danish pastry and was quite good. Service was ok even though it was a busy Sunday afternoon.

I was surprised as both Danish pastry and coffee were quite reasonably priced (especially given location of cafe).

This is a lovely cafe and good value as well. I got a hot chocolate and cupcake for $5. The cupcake was banana and was quite delicious. The service is always friendly and the cafe is inviting especially when the open fire is lit (today it wasn't lit as it was not cold enough)

The cafe also has a breakfast and lunch menu but I was only dropping in whilst on a bike ride so did not try

Approximate cost: $5

This is quite an old fashioned cafe - best way to describe it is that it like a cafe from say 20 years ago. However, it is in a fantastic setting (in Brimbank Park and near the old homestead). If you are riding your bike to Brimbank park via the bike path (as I did) there is very little in the way of choice of cafes for most of the ride.

My suggestion is to bring your own picnic lunch and get a coffee, ice cream etc from the cafe

The best part of this outdoor cafe on a cold morning are the heaters. If you manage to get a seat under the heaters it is lovely and warm

I do agree with some of the other reviews in that it would be good if they provided table service. However the coffees are quite good.

Have been here before but only during the week when it has been quite quiet and the service has been quite fast. They always have a nice selection of muffins, scones etc to go with a coffee.

Going on a Sunday is certainly different as the place was full on the inside. Some seats on the outside (which was fine as it gives you great views of the river) Service is slower on the weekends but this can be
expected given how busy it was.

This was a disappointing experience. I was with a group fir dinner and to see the flamenco dancing on the floor above. However the service was so slow we missed the start of the dancing. The staff were not very friendly. We had a large table near the bar and it was very noisy as staff were throwing empty bottles into a large bin without any attempt to do it a bit more quietly even after we complained twice.

Food was good but did not make up for the bad service

Approximate cost: $25

Dropped into today thinking it was only a cafe but it is a fully fledged restaurant. Despite this they were happy to seat us even though we only wanted coffee and cakes and it was quite busy with the lunch crowd.

I found the muffin a bit bland and the restaurant a bit noisy as it has concrete floors. However the service was fabulous- very friendly without being intrusive and our glass of water was topped up without asking.

I think it would be a nice place to go back to for a dinner with friends

I have always thought that cafes in garden centers are such a lovely idea and this is no exception. Stopped for a coffee break on a bike ride with friends today at the cafe at the front of the garden centre. We had coffees, muffins and scone and all was good. They have a special at the moment of coffee and cake for $6. They also serve breakfast and lunch.

One of the best things is that you can wander around the garden centre after you finish your coffee.

Approximate cost: $6

I have been here a few times and went today with a large group. In the past the service has been a bit slow but this time it was good considering the size of the group.

I had a hot chocolate and one of their fruit tarts ( so hard to decide as there are so many cakes on offer that look good).

Overall an enjoyable experience

Recently dropped into this cafe after walk around South Melbourne. Had a hot chocolate which was quite good. Unfortunately I had already had lunch so did not have anything to eat but some of the food that others were having looked quite delicious. Love the fact that it is on the platform of a light rail stop - creates quite an unique atmosphere.

Planning to return to eat next time!
