Eddie stands above the rest as far as tradesmen go. Always on time, friendly, and his quality of workmanship is terrific. I thought he was pretty cheap. He works hard, is very efficient, and is cheerful. We worked together plastering a large room -
roof, cornices and walls. We got on really well and even though I had never met him before it was as if I knew him for years. I highly recommend this bloke, and would not hesitate to use him again for plastering should the need arise. You will not be disappointed with Eddie.

Matt designed my concrete slab and did a very good job; adding piers for mitigations against tree roots and an easement. He knows his stuff. Low cost, fast service. Any issues sorted out promptly.

Lowest quote to demolish a garage, good service. They removed extra concrete and some old fencing at no charge. Michael and Nick were professional, friendly and easy going. Highly recommend you get a quote from them and trust them to do a good job.

These folks are as good as it gets. I recently bought two used HP PC's from them (and a lot of bits and pieces over the years). They know what they are on about and offer plenty of friendly advice. The PC's were amazing value and worked flawlessly. I have found their prices to be only a fraction higher than CPL and MSY of bits and pieces, but the buying experience is far superior. Once I bought a graphics card that did not fit in a small form factor PC. Not a problem, they swapped in for another type that fitted without any issues. Would recommend them to anyone, from experienced computer buffs like me to people who are new to computers. They treat you like a friend, not just a number. And they are fluent in English and technology.

I bought the parts for a complete computer from them plus a monitor. They could match MSY's price and the service and support was excellent. A welcome change from CPL and MSY. Like the other review here, I found too they know what they are talking about. Will buy from them again.

CPL is the bottom of the bucket in service and support. I bought a wireless network card from them but there was a fault in the device driver for the card, making it useless. I discovered on the web other people had had a similar problem. When I returned it stating the problem, they charged me a $15 restocking fee... for a product that did not do as it was advertised! Another trick they get up to is overcharging on the advertised Green Guide prices that are even printed on their in-store price sheet. They did that to me on an Intel processor and when I queried the price they told me they can charge what they want. Some of their employees have little understanding of computers. Maybe this sort of service and quality is acceptable in a third world country like China, but not in a country supposedly protected by consumer laws in fair-go Australia. I have found Centrecom nearby and BudgetPC nearby to be far superior on sales and service, even if you pay a tiny bit more. Plus they are fluent in English. AVOID CPL.

I needed a USB extension cable urgently. The price was quite a bit higher than from elsewhere ($8), but it was convenient. The purchasing experience was appalling. I was the only person in the store besides two other people who had already been served. I waited 25 minutes to get the cable after I had purchased it. The madam in the parts office was chatting on the phone for 10 of those minutes and totally ignored me the whole time even though she knew I was the only one waiting. After 20 minutes I had to ask here why I have to wait so long and it was only then she decided to get off her backside to get it. Another 5 minutes later I got the cable. Her behaviour was clear that she not give a stuff and she completed the transaction with the smug comment "Thank you for waiting". This sort of crap happens almost every time I have purchased anything from CPL. They could improve by fixing up their woefully slow order fulfilment systems and hire intelligent people who know something about good customer service. In the past I have waited over an hour to get a part.

IF YOUR TIME IS VALUABLE STAY AWAY FROM CPL.

This business is terrific. I will never buy overpriced nuts and bolts from Bunnings again after buying here. The people are friendly and very experienced. The service is outstanding and the costs a fraction of normal retail. They seem to have every type of thread available - much much more than Bunnings. They also sell a variety of interesting equipment and supplies. An oasis in the desert. Sometimes parking can be difficult because it is popular amongst both tradies and the handyman; plus there are other businesses around. Suggest one parks around the corner of the takeway shop if necessary.

I owned a 1997 TE Mitsubishi Magna. THIS WAS A CAR FROM HELL. For the last 7 years, it had an intermittent problem where it would not start. The problem might crop up a few times per year, once per month or even once per week. To get the car to start would take anything from a few minutes to 3 days. I could be stranded anywhere, even in a clearway at peak hours. The problem was electronic, not temperature or vibration related. The RACV and Ultratune determined it was an electronic problem signalling the fuel injectors, but they could not track the problem because the car would just start as they were diagnosing it. The log on the car's computer showed nothing. The car had been towed several times. A Mitsubishi dealer's service centre had the car for a few weeks and it failed once but as they were trying to trace the cause of the fault when it cropped up once, the problem disappeared. They tried hard and spent many hours on it and tried a few circuit modifications. I tried to get the circuit diagrams to debug the problem myself but the manufacturer of the electronics, Yazaki (Australian Arrow) had lost the circuit diagrams. I re-soldered every solder joint on some electronic circuit boards and re-plugged all cables - still no fix. I phoned the Mitsubishi factory in Adelaide telling them about the problem and they said there is nothing they can do. They were simply not interested. They would not even offer a discount on a replacement car. In the end I sold the car at scrap value. This car caused me depression, stress and anxiety. The amount of time and money I spent because of this problem beggars belief. I WILL NEVER AGAIN BUY A MITSUBISHI PRODUCT AS LONG AS I LIVE, whether it be a car, an air-conditioner or anything that bears the Mitsubishi name. They are banned for life as far as I am concerned. The law should be changed so that cars that are lemons can be replaced at part of the manufacturer's expense. At least the US has laws protecting the consumer from crap.

This car dealer is the most professional I have ever experienced. I bought a new Honda Civic VTI-L. Got a good deal and am happy with the car. The follow-up care and service is exceptional. Across the road is the Honda Service Centre. This place is not just a car mechanics workshop - it is the full professional deal. They go out of their way to make sure the customer is delighted with their service. It is a bit expensive, but it is probably worth it because the trust and confidence in them is very high as they know what they are doing. What is important to me is trouble free motoring for many years. So far so good.

Unbelievable exceptional service. I ordered an urgent part at 4:50pm from Bentleigh and it was hand delivered by an employee of the company by 5:30pm same day into my hands, at no extra cost, all the way from Seaford. Never had such great service in a long time from any business. Nothing is too difficult for Ocean Controls.

Approximate cost: $65
