Great little place. Great food. shame about the service. The food is to be shared amongst your dining companions and we each chose a dish. We enjoyed everyone of them. Great choice for a restaurant. I would recommend this restaurnat for those who like tasty,middle eastern cuisine.

I have been wanting to come here for a while since it has had such great reviews in the Age Good food guide for so many years. Everything is fresh but unfortunately not to my taste buds. The dips were smokey and i didn't enjoy them. The wings were good but nothing special overall the dishes I enjoyed were the rosewater lemonade,baklava I would only return for these.

I took a friend here to say thank you as he always takes me out and i thought well it's about time I returned the favour. We ordered the banquet which we thoroughly enjoyed especially the fried cauliflower but were a touch dissapointed with the lamb dish as it was dry and not very tender. Everything else was great though and I would be happym to recommend Rumi for a wonderful middle eastern meal

I came here to have the degustation for my birthday. was an enjoyable dinner. I kind of thought they were trying to replicate Attica though. My dining campanions and i enjoyed our meal however the bread was not up to scratch was dissapointed with this.

3 of my family members and I took a friend of ours out to celebrate his birthday here, and choose the 8 course degustation Wow what a great experience. They were happy to accomodate to dietry requirements. The service was one of the best i have experienced and the food was very enjoyable,unique,The petit fours were divine what i didn't appreciate was the fact that there was only one toilet upstairs well one for each gender. Otherwise a top experience. I'd encourage people to come here for a special occasion and order the full 8 courses.

My family and I took my friend here for his birthday. Great atmosphere,value for money and food. But the bread wasn't up to standards and that was a big dissapointment to me. Everyone enjoyed the food and agreed it wasoverall a great experience.

i honestly don't know what to say about this place as there is so much great things to say but the portion sizes are ridiculously small. The cheese puffs are too die for. The atmosphere, service are both amazing but where's the food?
I have been to many degustation meals before and have always finished full not this time. I had a cider after and then went home and had some toast.

One downside to this place is you can't book but there seems to be plenty of room so you needn't worry.
There were no tables so we ended up sitting at the bar which was indeed enjoyable as the kitchen is right in front of you.
The restaurant reminded me of Izakaya Den as the kitchen was the same set up they prepared,cooked everything in front of you. The food is all types of asian cuisine quite simple though.
The main reason i was dying to come here were for the lobster rolls, Which were quite tasty but i was reminded of a fillet of fish from Mcdonalds every time I took a bite.
A much more expensive kind and much better quality too.

This is the kind of restaurant you share dishes with the rest of your party with. we also had a beautiful raw tuna dish, oysters,crispy duck rolls which were delicious and a peanut butter parfait. Overall we had a very enjoyable experience

I've been here a couple of times the pastas are nothing special ,meals are quite a decent size.
The ribs,were delicious, meaty,tender. the only downside is i had to share them with everyone else. cheapish cocktails ok service we had to send back a steak because it was overcooked and the next one they bought out was better but not as good as the ribs.

I chose this restaurant last minute as I wanted a degustation dinner to celebrate my birthday and the restaurant i had booked wasn't answering my calls.
The home made bread & foccacia served was one of the tastiest,most delicious I have ever had.
There is no menu.
Basically you tell them what you don't eat and they make a menu to suit you & your dining companions.
the food was very delicious,fresh,great quality. The decor,seating was both dissapointing and a big let down very uncomfortable, It was also very hot in there. The food we had did surpass this. I would recommend this restaurant
