Visited this cute little teashop on recommendation by a friend. The staff weren't very friendly and when I asked for extra spoon/bowl they appeared very impatient. Ordered the coconut soup with red bean and rice balls and glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo leaves. My friend also wanted to try the tea egg but unfortunately this was sold out. The tea was ok but the glutinous rice was lacking in flavor and the filling were sparse as well. Overall not a positive experience.

Came here for afternoon tea and was surprised that there's a small selection of yum cha items. Had the xiao long bao (which was recommended as one of the more popular dishes) and a selection of other dishes including tofu "noodles" with sesame oil and coriander (my friend loved this), fried lobok cake and deep fried bean curd skin with prawn filling (I liked this the best).

The place is super cute and pink. Self serve and a interesting selection of different flavored yogurts (eg green tea, pomegranate, choc + cinnamon)). I don't normally like frozen yogurt but some of the yogurt here tasted almost like ice cream. Price not cheap (the yogurt is weighed) but since its self serve you can try a little bit of everything which is what I did. There's also a range of toppings to choose from too.

Friends introduced me to this place, kind of hidden, on the top level of myer centre next to the cinema. The portions were big but the best thing are the free side dishes (free refills too - the potato and seaweed were both delicious). They also gave us complementary spring rolls and soft drink.

This place is nicely decorated with batik cloth. An added bonus - it also sells a limited range of Indonesian groceries. Had mixed entree which contained 4 items, the perkedel kentang (potato fritters) and bakwan udang (vege fritters) were the highlights. For main ordered nasi campur (picked this cos it allows you to sample 3 different dishes), nasi goreng and terong bali (eggplant in balinese sauce). Out of these the eggplant was the standout - very tasty; the other dishes were okay too but definitely no wow factor.

I've always had a fascination with street food. And Taiwan is famous for its street food. Ordered rib stewed in medicinal herbs. This was a soup and despite a distinct medicine flavor (mainly angelica), I really like it. Note that some of the medicinal herbs aren't meant to be eaten (can be un-chewable). Also ordered deep fried chicken pieces. This is another famous Taiwanese street food. The portion size is good and the chicken was very crispy but flavor wise I've had better elsewhere. The third thing I tried was Ba Wan (Taiwanese meat ball). I thought it tasted strange but maybe thats just how its meant to be.

Price is not cheap but burgers taste great and decor is funky. I ordered the Moroccan lamb. The sweet relish and the yogurt combination worked well. The lamb patty itself is also well flavored with herbs and the addition of grilled capsicum just made the whole thing delicious. My friend had the beef with mustard and pickle which was very tasty as well. They cater for gluten free which is a bonus.

The name of this places stirs curiosity. The 'sushi' I bought was very creative: rice + lettuce + slice of chicken tenders wrapped in rice paper rolls and dressed with sweet chili sauce. I love the originality of this creation but taste wise it didn't really measure up. Also not cheap for 'sushi' at $5 for 2.

This sushi stores sells not only sushi but also other Japanese dishes like teriyaki chicken and curry etc. I bought a mixed sushi pack while my friend had the teriyaki. While the teriyaki tasted just ok, the mixed sushi was not particularly fresh and the rice was a little dry. A plus side though is that this place is located in a food court which looks out towards the marina so the view was good.

The place had nice decor and Bollywood pop added to the atmosphere. Had the lunch special which is good value at $9.95 where you can choose 2 curries. It also included rice. I shared this with a friend (we kind of ran out of rice). The butter chicken is very tender but a little on the sweet side. It was tasty compared to the lamb madras which I didn't particularly like. This place also had 5 star eat safe rating.
