This place is a really cute little eatery. Food is served at the counter, rest is self service. Not a huge variety to select from either. On the plus side you can choose mini sized dishes for less than $4 so can afford to try a few. I ordered the tempura rice bowl. This consisted of 2 tempura prawns (decent size), 1 slice of fish cake and a mixed vege cluster. The tempura was not a light as the ones I had in Japan but was nice nevertheless especially with the tsuyu dipping sauce. My friend had 2 mini bowls and a takoyaki kebab. The takoyaki was nice.

Like many Asian restaurants, the decor is simple and service is fast. On weekends this place is packed. Have had Pho here many times. The soup is flavorsome but not exceptional. The mains here are also well priced. The drinks though are another story. Ordered red bean with coconut which was full of ice, lacking in coconut milk and the red beans were not cooked enough. Another friend ordered the coconut smoothie which was again full of ice. For between $4-$4.50 per drink this was rather disappointing.

Approximate cost: $8

This place was very busy on a Sunday lunchtime. Good thing that we made a booking. The spanakopita (spinach and fetta fried in filo pastry) was crispy and tasty. Then we enjoyed the chicken yiro with haloumi pita and florina lamb (this was on the special menu, the lamb was very tender and was cooked in a tomato sauce with feta). Both I would recommend. Next time would like to try either the stuffed eggplant or capsicum.

Approximate cost: $11 for pita and $15 for the lamb

The sushi looked really good and price is average to slightly expensive. Ordered chicken karage and chicken with avocado. Both were tasteless. The karage was especially disappointing as its normally marinated with soy and ginger then deep fried. I couldn't taste either ingredient and the chicken was not crispy at all.

Approximate cost: $2.30-$2.50 per sushi

Came here after a colleague's recommendation. The menu included a selection of cold and hot dishes as well as snacks. Ordered 2 snacks to share (shanghai meat bun and red bean pastry), both were great. For mains had the garlic spicy chicken which were fried chicken pieces and 'you tiao' tossed in chili, garlic and sichuan pepper. This flavors were great albeit spicy and after a while the sichuan pepper will numb you tongue (Note the chicken didn't have much meat but that is what this dish is meant to be like). Also ordered twice cooked pork which was a bit dry and mediocre and I've had much better else where. Service was prompt and there's a self serve area for chili and tea etc.

Approximate cost: $13-16

I like Nando's chicken and fries cos they are seasoned with periperi and other spices. The chicken is quite lean so its a healthier option as well. I recommend the chicken tenderloin and classic chicken pita. And the fries of course.

Approximate cost: $8

This is a new asian tea bar (they also serve crepes). The decor is modern (white and bright yellow) and the place is air-conditioned. They serve bubble tea but the price can add up quickly after selecting base, flavor then adding topping. The selection is also not as big as some other bubble tea places. However they make crepes - might try that next time.

Approximate cost: $5-6

This place offers great value for movies. Bought the tickets online and picked it up at the cinema without having to queue which was very convenient (however you are charged a small extra fee for buying tickets online). Pity about parking, had to park on the streets close by and walk there.

Approximate cost: $8.50

Came here with friends. After sampling the cuisine, would come back again to try other dishes. Service was prompt and the place looked modern. Ordered four dishes which was plenty for the 5 of us. The "Shui Zhu Yu" (fish with chili and sichuan pepper) is a must try. Slightly pricier than other asian places but the quality of food is good.

Friends took me to this place and it was great. The decor was old but the service is fast and food tastes fantastic albeit spicy. Very authentic. We ordered a set of four dishes from their specials menu for only $48. Highly recommend twice cooked pork and chicken with chili.

Approximate cost: $48 for 4 dishes
