I did a cake decorating course through the Greensborough Cake Decorating Centre and I had an absolute ball! The course was reasonably priced and ran on a Saturday morning for 3 weeks. The staff were so friendly and helpful and made the classes fun. The class was pitched at the right level and there were lots of things included. You were given adequate time to complete tasks, and plenty of assistance if you needed it. By the end of the first session, I had a beautifully filled and decorated cake to take home! They also have a little shop from where you can hire cake tins and buy all sorts of goodies. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

A great selection of lollies from Australia and overseas at reasonable prices but unfortunately tarnished by very poor customer service. I'm reluctant to return after walking in once to hear staff (in the back room) swearing loudly and ignoring the fact that there were customers in the shop. I also appeared to have interrupted a private conversation whilst paying for items on another occasion - the conversation continued whilst I was being served (almost as though only the money I was handing over was visible). The same thing happened when the person serving me was texting - she got confused about who was paying for what because she was otherwise engaged in her texting session. The selection and prices are good but it's a real trade-off when you know that you're likely to be confronted by sub-par service. It's a real shame, otherwise I'd be raving about this place.

I've often walked past Hausfrau when they were closed but today got the chance to go in and what a delight! Reasonably priced, and what a selection of baked goods! The apple strudel was fresh, hot and delicious and served with fresh cream and the coffee was very nice. A nice casual dining cafe with friendly staff, cute decor and too many tasty treats to choose from. They even had decorated cookies, just in time for Easter.

I've been frequenting this pub for a number of years now, and the food is hard to fault. It's a pub menu (ie. chicken parma, steaks etc) but with a few differences (ie paella, asian sampler plate and a recently introduced tapas menu). The food is tasty and fresh, the specials are changed regularly. There is a nice open fireplace which is cranked up in winter. There has recently been an influx of new staff too. It's a little pricy for a pub with pokies but is local. Plenty of parking too. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Wow! For a humble Footscray pub, this place is certainly more than meets the eye! This is not your typical pub fare but is all the better for it. It's a modern Australian menu put together by a chef and team who really want to offer something diverse. A great selection of fresh seafood, a chicken liver parfait so whipped and creamy, salads etc, but the steak... I'm very specific about how I like my meat cooked (or otherwise, as I like it blue!) - this is the first restaurant where I've been asked if I still mind it cold. Awesome! No judgement or fear of under-cooking it - just happy to give the customer what they order. This is a special place with divine desserts to match. Pricier than a pub meal but with good reason. Exceptional quality and amazing meals.

We've been going to this restaurant for over 15 years now and I can honestly say that I have never eaten better satay sticks. The decor is old, but so are the drink prices! The food is always fresh and tasty - the San Choi Bow (lettuce delight) is a taste sensation. I can't comment on dessert as I'm always too full to fit it in. There is an extensive menu (if you can look past the satays!) and the food is MSG free! A cheap and cheerful place for quality food.

I was craving baklava and stumbled across Balha's. Yummmmm! Delicious cashew baklava as well as other sticky middle eastern sweets. Very fresh and reasonably priced - around $20 per kilo. The only downside for me is that they don't serve middle-eastern coffee. In any case, we now have an addiction to cashew baklava in our house! My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

This is one of the few places to offer eyebrow threading that I've found in the Western suburbs. The staff do a great job but the setting is a little strange. The salon (which also does pedicures and manicures) is set up in Myer @ Highpoint but in an open area, so people shopping for handbags and jewellery are wandering past while you're having a beauty treatment... anyway, if you can get past that, the results are pretty good. They have a loyalty card which gives you the 10th eyebrow threading for free and they are open 7 days a week.

I enjoy going to this place although I find that I often don't know what I'm looking at! It has a huge range of products from Asia including fresh produce, beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), sweets, canned goods and oodles and oodles of tea. The selection is amazing. It is usually fairly crowded and the aisles are almost a "single-file" situation but there is so much to see. I go here to buy fresh sesame peanut rice balls, Chinese jasmine tea, Japanese green tea and plum wine. You never have to queue up long to get out either.

Like many women, I hated shopping for bras... until I found this place. They provide a free fitting and then away you go! This store is an outlet, so you can get your undergarments at a fraction of retail value. I'm not exaggerating - some as cheap as $5!! They have a wide range of sizes as well as maternity bras and sports bras. They stock swimwear and costumes too. They stock: full coverage, push-up, Annalise Brackenseck, Playboy as well as the BnT brand. The staff are so friendly and helpful too. I'd feel ripped off buying underwear anywhere else now. There is also $5 flat rate parking near the shopping precinct
