We had the pork and chive dumplings, xiao long bau and fish congee - everything was good, no complaints. It's definitely value for money...the bill came up to just about $7 per person and we were well fed. The restaurant's quite clean as well so a plus point for that...

The pastries are great. I don't normally like sausage rolls (too much unidentified mystery meat) but I make an exception for BSB...both their savoury and sweet offerings are fabulous. I've got a soft spot for their raspberry and dark chocolate chunk muffin.

Gorgeous cakes - I almost feel bad eating them (almost!) Luckily they taste as good as they look and there are some really good flavor combinations. The macarons, peanut butter cake, chocolate cake with popcorn and tarts were all wonderful. Unfortunately, Zumbo's isn't too great for pastries IMO - I expected their pain au chocolate and brioche to be equally delicious but they fell far far below my expectations. The pain au chocolate literally had a smear of chocolate while the brioche was just blah. At least the cakes made up for it.

Good Malaysian food, pretty authentic...I come here whenever my cravings hit. Haven't actually tried their laksa but their prawn noodles (har mee) and seafood kway teow (rice noodle) soup are really really good. Wish they were still on Castlereagh St (although the Hunter St. outlet is much nicer)

The bistro has a pleasant atmosphere - bright and clean. They serve standard pub fare but they do it well. My favourite dish has got to be the pan-fried salmon - comes with a heaping mound of mash (or salad on request) and relish (capsicum?). The skin is crispy and the fish is nicely done, not overcooked. Food comes quite fast too considering the crowd during lunch hour.

Pricier than most of the other Burwood cafes but they do have really good coffee and cakes. Their coffee is consistently well made...I've tried the ricotta cheesecake and blueberry muffin...I think the muffins are made on-site, not sure about the cakes but regardless, they were both tasty.

Been here a couple of times for meals and coffee. Good value cafe food - shared a seafood spaghetti with a friend...big portion that filled us up nicely. The Mediterranean breakfast was not bad and Nutella pancakes were delicious. The coffee is reliable as well. Service could be better though - staff are friendly but we've had to remind them about our orders on more than one occassion.

Went here for coffee with a friend. He got a cappuccino and I had a chai latte. Both the chai latte and cappuccino were too weak - the chai was too sweet as well. Service was good however - the staff were really friendly and welcoming.
