A little history on the reviewer. I have bought 17 Nissan Patrols since 1980(14 diesels). 12 for myself and 5 for friends and family, we currently have 4 in the garage, 2010, 2007, 2006 and 2000. I have a reasonable exposure to the product over many years.
I purchased a 2006 3.0 diesel patrol from this establishment. I am in Victoria and did the deal over the phone and email. the description of the vehicle was appealing and I went through the usual questions (I have bought 5 cars from interstate over the years). Communications is poor, sales staff are stroppy, and rude. It was also indicated that I was lying when I reported problems with the vehicle after delivery!
Finally principal refused to accept phone calls from me and, now all communications stopped.
Issues -
a) No fuel when pick up at docks That was, and as it’s a diesel I was worried about running the tank dry, as this damages the injector pump. the closest servo was a long way away.
b) $260 Brake controller in the car vanished.
c) Rear tire when had being run flat and type was damaged beyond repair, continually loosing air
d) Cruise control not working.
e) Access key not working, refused to replace.
f) Temp gauge running at high mark. on way home from docks, checked radiator, which took 8 liters! when I got home another 63K’s another 4 liters added to radiator
g) Part I was told had being mailed was not and, sent 3 weeks later, after I rang them 8 times.
h) Significant oil leak from rear of engine.
i) Damage on rear quarter not told about. quoted at $800-$1100 to fix
j) Finally - Engine inspected by diesel specialist. large amount of stop leak had being added to radiator - and it has warped head. cost to repair $7000 plus

ok, so would I buy another vehicle from here new or used I’ll leave it up to you, this behavior is something expected back in the 50's, I would have thought!

be aware, and be careful.

We have a 2007 ATV 2 - chassis cracks have appeared. These vans are touted as 'strength of the north' as we have put an extreme amount of our hard earned into this van (I’m not a man with wads to throw around), actually spending above budget to get what we expected to be an upgrade and the unit was to allow us to road trip away for next 2 years as this is our 4th off-road van in 12 years (first Kedron) a 16ft, 18ft and 19ft, this one is 21ft. Today I took it to my engineering shop (they build truck beds and articulated trailers), I was pointed out many points where the chassis had cracks and, potential points of failure! I am NOT taking this van into the bush!

Ok so I did not choose wisely, lesson learnt. I am told that this issues is due to the stiffness of the rear springs and suspension of my vehicle (by Kedron) - I am also advised that now the chassis is modified to the strengthen these same points of failure.

Kedron did offer to fix my issues but it would cost me to return the Van to them some 3900K's round trip.

I have the repairs done near home - they found lateral cracks in the a frame working all the way around from underside, perhaps have a close inspection when looking at older Kedron’s? repairs and upgrade work cost me $2870.
