We were on a serious warpath for a solid 11 weeks looking every wkend for the right home. Belinda at Aitken Real Estate really did shine from all other agents. And beleive me there were plenty of agents l called & got a call back 3 days late if at all. Belinda was a gem who followed up 2 see if we had found anything throughtout our search. She remembered our names & more importantly our needs. She didnt waste our time with homes which were not gonna suit. Sadly we didnt purchase thru her but that was simply circumstance. My wife and I have bought and sold a number of times in Melbourne over the years and as a result of our experiences had formed a pretty dim view of standard real estate practice.

Having read Stephen Aitken's flyer, outlining his thoughts on the industry and his more ethical system, we decided to approach Aitken Real Estate to sell our house in the hope that this time things might be different (and better). And they were.

Belinda and Stephen gave us a thorough briefing on what to expect, and exactly how they would go about selling our home. They then did exactly what they said they would.
We were lucky enough to attract a potential buyer very quickly – the same day the sign went up - and the negotiation conducted by Belinda delivered us a very attractive offer which we accepted. It was all done in just four days. Obviously, not everyone will get a similarly quick result, but we can heartily recommend Aitken's ethical and transparent approach.

So if you've had enough of auction shenanigans, huge advertising costs and “this is what the market is telling you” mind games played by conventional real estate agents, then you really should consider using Aitken. In our view, they are different and they are far, far better.

Having established the asking price for our property, and how the property would be advertised, we were advised of a range of matters associated with the selling of our house, and how to prepare for moving. For us the selling of our property appeared to be a complex process.
