TPG's service is poor. I currently am having a problem with my Internet connection. They can only give me four hour time-slots in which it can be fixed and these are only Monday to Friday - my wife and I both can't take 1/2 a day off work just to get an Internet problem fixed.

Fortunately I had a day off coming up as I was going into hospital in the afternoon. So TPG had 10 days notice and I booked then in for the morning. They rang me and confirmed the details, and they also new that they needed to finish by midday as I needed to leave for the hospital.

945 on the day - no TPG, so I rang them to find out when the technician would arrive. After waiting in the queue and some fumbling about I found out that they had completed my job at 913 in the morning - just a the wrong address! They had somehow linked my job with another one.

Obviously I wasn't impressed, but they were happy to book me in the following day or the next day, to which I again told them I can't take time of work, particularly as I'm already taking time off to go into hospital. They promised to see what they could do and ring me back.

I never got a phone call. Instead I got a text message later in the afternoon booking a service call in for the following Wednesday morning - and they already knew I wasn't available for that day. I then had to wait in a queue to change it.

I still don't have my internet connection fixed, I'm currently using Internet Connection Sharing through a mobile phone.

There is a reason TPG is cheap - it's because their service is poor!

never ever sign contract with TPG. Worst experience ever!
Provide wrong information and lack of knowledge!!!!
They will not recommend or give you any advice or better deal/ options. They will ask you repetitive questions!

They are playing with customers and ADSL to increase their profits...
TPG does provide a great speed for new customers and this during the first few months, this to ensure the plan is fully accepted, afterwards their drop the Internet speed by 20-40% as well as the quality of the service they provide. When you tell TPG you want to change to another internet provider, they increase the ADSL speed again to what you are paying for but then after one or two weeks, TPG again drops your internet speed….

I also noticed that they play with you monthly data allowances. If you don’t check regularly your 500Go/Months becomes 330 or 410Go/months …

Because sometimes, they\'re charge your data on 30-40h per days ??! :-/

Before TPG the day was on 24h....

Signed with TPG bundle on 04th May....still awaiting installation to be completed 04th Jun 2016.

Client managers are hopeless and do not respond to their emails.

Customer service helpline provide false information...example, after I explained my problem (unable to receive incoming calls) the consultant said it would be rectified in 24 - 48 hours.....a week later I had to call them again , because my online client manager was not responding) and again even after I asked for his supervisor to contact me.....nothing!!!!

Meanwhile one month later and my family are still unable to receive incoming calls!!!

Beware of TPG...their client managers and supervisors are in competent!!!!

I had been with TPG for many years when I finally decided to move on. Their customer service was always dreadful and with my most recent encounter, they just confirmed it even more. I decided to change to another provider and asked for my deposit back, this was at the beginning of July. As I did not receive anything I called again today, after 7 minutes of waiting on hold I was disconnected, I then called again and was on hold for 20 minutes with someone and she kept telling me don't worry I will not hang up on you. Oh and guess what, she did after 25 minutes. I then called again and finally someone said they would arrange for my refund but it will take up to 8 working days. Had I not called, I do not believe I would have been credited my deposit back, well I haven't received it yet. Will shall seeee.

Each time I had to call them regarding an issue, waiting time was just dreadful, today i wasted nearly 1 hour on hold. Will never go back to them and will never recommend them to anyone!

We are in Warriewood which has no NBN planned. Been with Telstra for 1.5 years and was super rubbish. ADSL download of .31mpbs and upload of .36mpbs. After some research switched to tpg. Just did the same test and pleased to confirm a load better. Download now 1.12mpbs and upload .80mpbs. What a difference... and i think it is cheaper as well.

If you would like an internet provider that doesn't actually supply you with internet then TPG is the way to go! My partner and I have TPG and on the 29th of March it completely stopped. We called the same day to see what was happening, they had to send a technician out the next day. The technician said , 'the line is messed up'. They arranged for Telstra to come out and fix the line. It's been four weeks since then with no progress. Several times we've been told it would be fixed the following week. Again this morning a technician was to come out between 8-12, come 1pm we had heard nothing! At 3:30pm after phoning THREE times to check the status, are we told they have rescheduled it AGAIN for another week out.

The staff at TPG are incredibly efficient and provide great customer service. On initial set up they were extremely helpful with tech support. While recently moving house, they were again incredibly helpful and my internet was connected on moving day seamlessly! The internet and phone service is great and I have never had a problem. While changing address, I also upgraded to have 100 free mins of international calls added to my account. This only cost me an extra $5 a month. Great value!

Approximate cost: $69.99/month

They have the best deals, which is probably the ONLY reason they get so much business. Their internet drops out all the time and their customer service........isn't anything I would actually CALL customer service. Rude.

If you want cheap internet and don't care about customer care, then go for it.
