We signed up for ADSL internet for our home about 1 year ago. We are quite happy the connection and speed of our internet. when we first had it connected, we experienced a few issues and customer service of TPG were very helpful to quickly resolve it

we pay $29.95 per month which is a good price, very affordable and the data allowance is sufficient for our household use

so far so good ..... we will stay with TPG for a long time at this stage

Living in a regional area gives us little choice in most products but TPG have continually provided reliable broadband to our area. Yes we get occasional outages like everybody but it's usually fixed quickly. Despite the service centre being off shore I've never had a problem understanding the sales or technical staff. If they lose contact with you while talking your through settings they quickly call back. I had been misinformed about an upgrade product but when I called I was quickly set on the right path and saved myself a further $25 in setup costs. The VOIP is the cheapest I've been able to find anywhere and it's also very reliable. Overall I'd recommend TPG and I hope that soon they will be able to bundle home phones in our area.

Edit to this review. Not only did I save a further $25 but I need to add that my update to the ADSL 2+ Off Net was completed within 24 hours. Very impressed with the fast service. I'm aware that it meant that Telstra also worked very quickly to flick the switch and I'm very grateful to them for the quick response. Normally it should take between 3-5 days.

Good internet bundles available especially for the ADSL2+ packages with unlimited downloads and uploads.

More convenient now as they have $1 line rental which render customers from paying extra landline bills.

Internet support can sometimes be a drag especially when the internet is down during the weekends. Some minor glitch here and there. But definitely a good provider if you are a heavy internet user.

THe one thing that TPG rules overt the rest of other service providers is their package plan. Their unlimited internet package plan for ADSL 2+ is one of its main customers drivers as for that package price you won't be able to find a better internet deal.

There are not many fuss and problems over the installation though there is a one off $200 fee for installation purposes, but generally line and internet has been good. Services by phone, and online payment have all been quick and straightforward and I recommend TPG to anyone who is looking for unlimited broadband package.

Internet do get slow once in a while but besides that generally excellent.

I love the value that TPG offers. Their ADSL and ADSL2 are much more competitive than the other major isps.

They were one of the first to offer unlimited at an affordable pricing options. You're probably going to get a better deal with TPG than with some of the telecommunication giants, even if you bundle your bills.

Now I'm not too happy with their service. Some of the support staff do not really know much about their products and services. We've inquired to change our static IP, which is well within our rights providing we pay for the transfer fee. A few times we were told that 'they can not change static IP and that we have to sign up with a dynamic IP account'

This is totally wrong, I've tried explaining a number of times, didn't work. so I contact the tech guys via email, bam, everything is fixed.

I do not appreciate how the customer support tries to blame everything on the client side before they take any responsibilities. 'it may be because your router is too far from the phone line' 'it may be your phone line'.

It doesn't really matter too much for us because we know what we're doing and our rights, most of all they offer great price for unlimited internet.

If you need an extensive support, such as installation and around the clock support I'd recommend you find some other business. If you know what you're doing and you want the best deal, then go with TPG.

Very happy with TPG, the price is great- cheapest internet I could find in Melbourne. Never had any connection problem and customer service members were always happy to assist. The internet connection is fast and download quota is reasonable for the price I paid.

TPG home phone/ADSL 2+ bundle (recent connection); previously have had internet only with them for 2 yrs.

The phone/internet combo is well priced, good connection speed (but that could be because i am very close to the exchange).

Customer assistance can be difficult to understand (due to o/s call centre operators).

Only major disadvantage compared with Telstra is that you cannot send faxes over their lines, and you do not have Home Message Bank 101 like telstra. Otherwise they are a very good service provider, and I have had stand-alone internet access with them for 2 years with only 2 occasions involving downtime/disconnections.

Overall very happy with their service.

these guys were the first when it came to free dial-up internet, so for that fact alone i rate them 5/5. great customer service at an affordable price.
