This review is for Il Tempo, Melbourne VIC

Il Tempo is an excellent place, delivering a strong level of customer service and fantastic food at decent prices. Sit outside if possible (though sometimes there's a smell that comes from the street thats a bit unpleasant. Doesnt happen too often though!) and take in the atmosphere of Degraves St while you tuck into some great food or enjoy a well made coffee. The BBQ Calamari salad is to die for, as are the slow cooked lamb shanks (my favourite!).

This review is for TOFWD Health Food, Melbourne VIC

TOFWD (or The Organic Food and Wine Deli) is a produce shop that specialises in healthy organic food and drink. They offer a wide variety of food types from salads and pies to cakes and sandwiches, all of which is seriously delicious and sourced locally where possible. They also sell gift hampers full of produce. Nothing is especially cheap in this store, but its all so good for you that you dont really care that much. Staff are always friendly and professional, and quick about their business too. A good place to get something that you feel good about eating!

This review is for Queen Victoria Market, Melbourne VIC

Besides the fresh food and produce, which are generally of a very high quality and at good prices, the market stalls of the QV markets seem to be all selling the same things for the same prices. Its like there are 5 or 6 stalls, each selling different things, repeated over and over again till all the market floor space is filled. Repetitive and boring. On weekends its incredibly cramped - God help you if you go there with a pram or stroller, as you'll forever be in everyone elses way. Its not a very fun experience at all. Only shop there for the produce - which is again excellent quality and cheap.

This review is for RMB Cafe, Melbourne VIC

A great little cafe nestled amongst all the others in Degraves. Staff are friendly and efficient - you never wait long to be served or to have your meal/drinks delivered to you. The food is good and the coffee is also good. The outside seating is cramped like they all are, but the atmosphere is good. If you are wanting a quick meal or a coffee, then you could do a lot worse then RMB.

This review is for The Little Bookroom, Melbourne VIC

verified email - 11 Jan 2013

The Little Bookroom is an extraordinary shop packed to the rafters with childrens books. The shop is small but laid out very effectively to maximise the space available to it. There is every conceivable childs book ever made here - it is literally jam packed! Honestly if you cannot find the childs book that you are looking for in this store then it probably hasnt been written yet. The prices are as per standard brick-and-mortar bookstore prices. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Great place to shop with little kids.

This review is for Centro Espresso Caffe, Melbourne VIC

A very good little cafe on the corner of Flinders Lane and Centre Place. Staff are good - quick and efficient, and mostly smiling. Its not a particularly big place - there isnt seating in there for much more than 5 people inside (squishing together at that) and not that much more outside, so its more for grabbing something to go. The wraps are fantastic, and at around $8 pretty good value considering their size. Go the tandoori chicken wrap - I have mine without yoghurt, and its tasty as!

This review is for The Quarter, Melbourne VIC

verified email - 11 Jan 2013

The Quarter is a cramped cafe/restaurant located on Degraves St. They really cram the tables together both inside and out (to be fair, all the cafes along Degraves with tables on the outside do the same thing though), and you'll often be sitting virtually back-to-back or elbow-to-elbow with another diner from another table. But, all that said, the food is excellent. Breakfasts are the best time to come, as they are truly outrageously awesome with very generous portions. You wont go hungry from the Quarter! The staff also help to make it an excellent place to dine, as they are friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Its one of the bigger and more popular of the cafes on Degraves, and its obvous why. Price is a touch on the high-ish side but comparable (and sometimes actually better) with other cafes along that tiny strip. A great place for a feed, a great coffee, and a catch up with friends or family.

This review is for Salter Cycles, Altona Meadows VIC

I didn't buy my bike from here but I wish I did. I took it to Salters to be serviced after a neighbour recommended it, and I certainly didn't regret going there. The staff at Salters were unbelievably helpful and friendly. They really know their stuff. The service wasn't expensive and they made several recommendations to me based on what I use my bike for. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else for my biking needs from now on.

This review is for F1 And Special Events, Melbourne VIC

verified email - 10 Jan 2013

This is my go-to store for all my team support gear. They stock all codes - AFL, Rugby League, Union, and soccer. And, as the name suggests, they also have a great range of F1 merchandise if thats your thing as well. Prices arent cheap but are competitively priced compared to places like Rebel etc so I still prefer them to places like that. The staff are generally friendly and happy to help you find an item if you cant do it alone. 2 levels of team sportswear awesomeness!

This review is for Snapfish.com.au, Sydney NSW

Whenever we come back from an overseas holiday we log on to Snapfish and order ourselves a photo book. The service is incredibly easy to use, and the quality is pretty good (not amazingly knock-your-socks-off fantastic, but pretty good). The end product always impresses.
