Excellent place to meet friends for breakfast or a catch up coffee. Also serves as a good meeting point! The food is pretty good - I've only ever had breakfasts here but the quality has been good and the portion sizes have been generous, and at $15 it's good value too. Lots of seating available which is great, and the service is good too.

Approximate cost: $15

Best hotdogs ever! It's a bit tricky to find but wow it's worth it! The hotdogs aren't cheap - expect to pay around $9 for your dog - but they are unusual and tasty and fantastic! Try the London Bangers and Mash dog which is my favourite, followed closely by the Mexico City Chilli dog, but if these don't grab you there are plenty of other options available to you.
Service is fast, efficient and friendly. Opening hours are:
Monday to Friday 11AM to 3PM
Saturday and Sunday 12PM to 4 PM
They're hotdogs, but not as you know them, and they're all the better for that!

Hidden and tucked away in Presgrave Place you can find this extraordinary little bar, the likes of which I've never seen before in Melbourne. It's a mission and a half to find it, but once you do you'll be very happy that you did.
For starters, it's the tiniest bar you'll ever see - more like a walk in robe than a place where people go to drink and socialise. Don't let this fool you though - the ambience is fantastic! And because everyone is so close to each other, with the bar itself really the only furniture in the place, the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed and strangers find themselves actually talking to each other instead of just ignoring each other.
Secondly, don't come here looking for a beer. This is a cocktail bar, pure and simple, and they are amazing! Honestly you couldn't be disappointed if you tried. Yes it's not a cheap place to visit because of this, but it's well worth it. They do do coffees during the day as well (they are open from 8.30 in the morning, closing round 1 AM), but in m opinion you wouldn't come here for a coffee - its cocktails all the way!
Thirdly, it's home to Melbournes smallest art gallery. Don't ask me to explain this - go and see for yourself.
Finally, the service. The bartenders know their stuff! There's usually only one on at any given time, but you are never waiting long for service - its brilliant.
WOMO needs to let me give this bar 6 stars! For a small group of friends wanting to go somewhere different, you can't go past it.

A serious contender for the worst service I've ever had the misfortune of being on the receiving end of. The staff are all smiles when you enter but as soon as you're seated they're missing in action. Eventually I managed to wave one down (this in a café that really isn't all that big) and placed my order. And then waited...and waited...and waited...and eventually after what seemed like half a lifetime but in reality was more like 25 minutes my meal arrived. I cant knock the meal itself - it was nice, and the portion size was good, but the effort to get it is out of proportion to the reward of the meal itself.
I'm happy that I went there, but only so that I know to never EVER go there again. Under any circumstances. When there is SO much choice right next to it - Degraves and Centre Place are within spitting difference - this café will not see my custom again.

This review is for NRG Food And Juice Bar, Williamstown VIC

I'm a fan of the breakfasts at NRG, which average around $14 in cost. The mains look nice as well, but I confess I've never been here for lunch (breakfast seems to take care of my hunger for most of the day as the portion sizes are pretty generous). There is a good amount of seating inside, and they've got plenty of tables outside as well.
The service is friendly, but sometimes not particularly efficient - I've often gone into NRG to order a take away coffee and I do seem to stand around for a while waiting for it, but that could be because its often frequently busy! Its a popular destination for locals and blow-ins alike.

Good little dry cleaning find right in the heart of the Williamstown business district. Always been happy with the quality of the clean and have never had any issues. Always happy with the price as well. My wife and I use these guys exclusively and I cant see us changing anytime soon.

This store has it all - quality smallgoods, specialty cheeses, gourmet antipasto, oils...basically if you are after something unique or you have a recipe that calls for an ingredient out of the ordinary, this is the place for you. The prosciutto is the best that I've ever had! Its a tiny store but its chock-a-block full of produce. The staff are excellent - they really know their stuff and will go out of their way to help you. Today I went in looking for Ras El Hout (don't ask me what it is - I was on a mission for the wife). Whilst they stock it I don't think they stock it all the time, and today was one of those days when they didn't have it. Regardless, the staff member that served me offered to take my name and number and call me when they had it in again. Great service! The range of cheeses - both soft and hard - are also second to none. The prices aren't over the top...this shop ticks all the boxes!

This review is for Jackie's Food Pizza, Williamstown VIC

Don't let the exterior (garish yellow) fool you - the pizza from Jackie's is very nice indeed. Crispy thin bases and generous toppings made from fresh ingredients means that I've yet to be disappointed from a trip to Jackie's. The store itself offers some limited dine-in potential, but I've always ever gotten take away. They offer the full gamete of pizza options that you can pretty much get anywhere else, but along with the competition down the road in Newport, its fresh and tasty and local so you cant beat it.
Jackie's is a bit of a Williamstown tradition that I hope never goes away.

This review is for Kidzone, Newport VIC

With the birth of my niece the other day I went shopping for some baby wear for a present. I had always seen Kidzone but had never really had the need to go into it as my boys were too "grown up" for it. So off I trundled to Kidzone and was immediately pleased that I did! They have an excellent range of childrens clothing - they cater from babies to about 10 year olds (I think - sometimes its hard to tell!) and the quality of the garments is awesome. I was also really impressed with the service I received. I think ultimately I went a little overboard with all the pink I purchased, but I was super happy with what was on offer and with what I bought, and with the price I paid. Excellent store. Will shop here again in future for sure.

Good local pizza joint that offers good value pizza that tastes pretty damn great. Much better option than the pizza Hut a few doors up! I love it and the kids love it too. Yet to have a bad experience here. They do delivery as well. Highly recommended!
