Outstanding pies - some of the best you'll ever have. They do both savoury and sweet - the Apple pies are delicious! Both family and individual sizes are available. If you are in the market for a pie then give them a go - you wont be disappointed!

This review is for EB Games Altona Gate, Altona VIC

Pretty standard EB Games shop that doesn't offer a lot more than any others, with the possible notable exception of the staff that work there. They are friendly (unlike a lot of EB games stores that I've been in) and knowledgeable about the games they sell. Their trade in deals are fair - my boys are always happy with what they get back for trading in their old xbox 360 games. Store is clean and tidy and well laid out.

This review is for Williamstown Shoe Repairs, Williamstown VIC

I've had to drop off the odd shoe of my wife's here over the years, and they are always able to repair them quickly, effectively, and at a reasonable price. She's never had any complaints and insists on having her shoes repaired here. I've also used them to have keys cut, which they do very cheaply and quickly. The service is excellent.

This review is for Steampacket Hotel, Williamstown VIC

I confess I've never eaten here but I've enjoyed a drink or two at the Steampacket lately, and its been an overall positive experience. No complaints about the beer on tap. The staff were nice enough. Its got a pokey room or two at the front but it opens up a bit towards the back. It has on street seating as well, which is nice but its on Cole St so it doesn't have the best outlook unfortunately. Definitely good enough to return to for another drink while the weather is still nice!

Took my parents here to have lunch not long ago, as its always interested me with its trendy look and its awesome location. Big mistake. Whilst the food was excellent, there wasnt enough of it for the price we paid (which was exorbitant!). The staff were ok but not great - seemed to go MIA quite a bit. We didnt wait long for the meal, which was good, but afterwards couldnt help but feel that we'd been more than a little ripped off.

This review is for Delight Sandwich Bar, Melbourne VIC

This is just a standard deep fried fast food place which offers the usual fare - dim sims, potato cakes, hot chips etc. There isnt anything unusual or different about it to the hundreds of other places like it around the place. The food is good for what it is, and definitely isnt over priced. If, like me, you sometimes crave something very bad and deep fried for lunch then you could do a lot worse, but given the options available to you within 50 metres of here, you'd REALLY have to crave it. Staff are always friendly which is nice.

This review is for Health Cosmos, Melbourne VIC

Hidden away in Centre Arcade, right near the end of it closest to Centre Place, there's this little gem of a health food store. On offer there are many varieties of beautiful tasting rolls, muffins, wraps and salads. Fresh juice is also available, as are other healthy snack options. The store is tiny like all the stores in the arcade, which can cause a problem during the lunch time rush period - it gets really cramped in there!

Awesome little T shirt and singlet shop that I stumbled across in Centre Arcade. Despite the store size being on the small side its jam packed full of T shirts with groovy designs on them. Caters to both men, women and kids. I spent a good 15 minutes going through them all and ended up buying one (I couldve bought about a dozen!). Staff are helpful and attentive but not annoyingly so. Great store to get a T shirt that no one else will have.

This review is for Blufish, Melbourne VIC

verified email - 01 Feb 2013

Blufish offers very yummy fish and chips right in the heart of the city! Its a on the expensive side however the portion sizes are just right, the batter is perfect and the chips are done to perfection! They also offer the other usual fish and chippery fare. There is seating inside, though its pretty limited (like virtually everywhere in Centre Place) - say about 6-8 people could eat inside.
Service is fast and friendly, however because its so popular you can sometimes be forced to wait for a little while before you are served, but this is a minor annoyance considering the quality of the product!

I've shopped here a couple of times for school dress ups and costume parties and each time have been able to find something at great cost. The quality can sometimes be suspect though (watch for stains!) so buyer beware. The nicest thing I can say about the staff is that they are disinterested generally. All up though it's a pretty good store as long as your expectations aren't high.
