This review is for Mansfield Medical Clinic, Mansfield VIC

I couldn't be more satisfied with the service that we received at this clinic. My son broke his arm before we went camping and got himself a plaster cast. That lasted about a week and a half before he got it wet, rendering it useless. We drove into Mansfield and, despite not having an appointment and it clearly being busy, we were seen to promptly and efficiently, and the doctor placed a fibreglass cast on so my son could get it wet without fear moving forward (making him VERY happy!).
The staff were at all times smiling and friendly, despite us not having an appointment, and despite them being very busy. The doctor was also excellent. And, as a plus, they bulk billed the entire thing, except for the materials for the cast, which came to around $17. I would thoroughly recommend this clinic to anyone. I've rarely experienced that level of service before and was seriously impressed. I wish WOMO allowed me to give them 6 stars!

This review is for Foodworks Supermarket, Mansfield VIC

Offering what I consider to be a very good range of products at excellent prices, the Foodworks at Mansfield is clean, well laid out, well stocked, and offers good specials on a wide range of products. Also has a convenient liquor store across from it. We always make a point of coming here to stock up when we go camping in the region.

This review is for Mansfield Newsagency, Mansfield VIC

verified email - 24 Jan 2013

Standard newsagent offering a very reasonable selection of magazines and papers etc, as well as plenty of those cheap and nasty plastic toys and stuff that's so often stocked by newsagents. Be warned - they close early on Sundays, so don't get caught out like we were. We were actually IN the store when the staff approached us and told us they were closed now, and basically hounded us till we left. Not the best customer service I've ever experienced.

This review is for Mansfield Regional Produce Store, Mansfield VIC

verified email - 24 Jan 2013

Otherwise known simply as the Produce Store, this cafe/produce store has fantastic atmosphere and even better food. It's expensive but the portion sizes are massive - my 12 year old sons couldn't finish their baguettes, which shocked us to be honest as they eat like horses! In that respect the Produce Store offers excellent value.
The produce on offer around the walls is varied and yummy. This is definitely the place to go for lunch in Mansfield. Just make sure you've budgeted for it!

Wow what a store. It's a combination ladies wear and gift/homewares store, which is slightly unusual. I can't talk about the ladies wear, other than to say there was quite a bit of it there.
The other stuff though was truly unique and excellent. Great quality products that really stand out and at very decent prices too. I loved the birdsnest lamps - they really stand out! A great place to shop if you want something a little different.

NEW ADDRESS IS 52 HIGH STREET!
Great store that stocks a comprehensive range of outdoor wear and gear - great if you are camping in the area and forget to bring one of the essentials.
The staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Prices are a fraction on the high side but not crazily so.

This review is for Mansfield Menswear, Mansfield VIC

Mansfield Menswear stocks a reasonable range of brand name t shirts, singlets, muscle shirts, shorts, jeans etc and ok prices (everything seems slightly more expensive in Mansfield). Took my son in there to purchase some thongs and surprisingly didn't receive any offer of assistance from the one staff member working (not even a hello, which is unusual). It's only a pair of thongs and therefore not something that requires help, but I don't mind being asked.

This review is for Yea Bakery, Yea VIC

verified email - 22 Jan 2013

A reasonable enough bakery staffed by very nice people. The decor is definitely nothing to write home about however! 4 of us had a pie each (nothing special but quite okay nonetheless), a drink each (a bottle of water for me, a spider each for the kids and a coffee for the wife), plus a cake each for 3 of us, and all up the cost was around $42. Not bad I guess, but I've had better for cheaper.
An interesting experience was having the light go off in the toilet after not quite a minute. Happened to both myself and my son, so it's clearly something that's planned. Very weird and not the sort of thing you want to happen in a toilet!

This review is for Flinders Lane Lotteries, Melbourne VIC

verified email - 12 Jan 2013

This newsagency seems primarily focussed on selling lotto tickets and scratchies and the like. The amount of magazines and newspapers available for purchase is definitely on the low side compared to other newsagencies. There's lots of cards and postcards for sale however, so go figure. They also stock some soft drink and chips and stuff like that. Dont go in there looking for a smile from the people behind the counter either. Like the mags and papers, they seem to be in short supply as well.

This review is for Amaze 'N Things, Cowes VIC

Excellent fun for kids and grown ups alike. The outdoor maze is the best thing about the place in my opinion, though the stuff inside (the mirrors and perspective stuff) is pretty cool too. Wouldnt recommend buying food or drinks there as its on the pricey side but if you've got kids under 10 you could certainly do lot worse for an hour than go here.
