I never go out to a new restaurant before checking diner reviews! I used another site but find the reviews on WOMO much more honest and helpful! I also use WOMO for my business, so its a great way to get feedback from customers and spread the word!

Very interesting experience if you want to experiment with your pizza flavours! Great atmosphere in the restaurant and service is welcoming and attentive. Would highly recommend any one of the dessert pizzas, so definitely save room after your main!!

This review is for The Pickle Barrell, Williamstown VIC

The Pickle Barrell is a cute little cafe in Williamstown. The only downside is, the inside dining space is very small, so on cold wintery days, I'd recommend take-away! There are chairs and tables outside, so perfect for a drink on a warm summer day! The service is always friendly and helpful, and they do the best iced coffees! Definitely a great place in Williamstown for a catch up over coffee!

This review is for Mazee Hair, Altona VIC

I have had quite a few 'bad hairdresser' experiences. It has taken me years to find a hairdresser that I am comfortable and happy with. Mazee hair is great. I have had my hair styled in an up do for a formal event and it turned out beautifully. Exactly what I wanted, so intricate and beautiful. I have never had much luck with hair colouring either, but each time I go to Mazee, I leave happy and confident. Kayla and the other hairdressers are all so friendly and really listen to what you want. I would highly recommend Mazee hair for any cuts, colours and especially styling for parties or formal events!

This review is for The Olive Tree Bistro, South Melbourne VIC

My partner and I go to the olive tree for all of our 'special occasions' because we love it so much. The oysters kilpatrick are amazing, some of the best I've had in Melbourne. We usually get the scotch fillet, which is always cooked to perfection and served with the best vegetables and a baked potato! The sauces are amazing too. The atmosphere of the restaurant, is romantic and cosy, the staff are mostly attentive and the wait times are average. I'd recommend taking a bottle of wine and enjoying a steak at a table by the window! A great experience.

This review is for Kitchen Workshop, Southbank VIC

Kitchen Workshop is a high quality buffet style restaurant. I would not recommend coming here with less than 3 people. I went with my partner and we were both getting up so much for food, we never saw each other! So definitely, a great place to go with family or a group of friends. There is heaps of variety, including a stir frys, carved meats, seafood, soups and salads. Great value if you're prepared to eat a lot! The dessert section is fabulous, so save room! So many little options, including jellies, chocolate mouse, selction of cakes, panacotta, fruits and ice cream. I would recommend dining here, throughout the week, as it gets really busy on the weekends. But overall, a great experience!

This review is for N2 Extreme Gelato, Fitzroy VIC

verified email - 19 Nov 2013

N2 Extreme Gelato, is a very interesting experience. It's not just about the ice-cream! The store is very cool, with areas to sit as well as to stand and watch your ice cream being made! All the ice creams/ gelato are made to order in front of you with liquid nitrogen. The flavours aren't your average kind, with tastes including rock melon and proscuitto and buttered popcorn. But the menu changes regularly. Each time I have been here, there has been a big line and a bit of a wait. It's a busy place, and I was told there would be a 15 minute wait, so theres really no reason to complain. They offer only one size at $6, which I believe is great value. You would pay the same amount at any average ice cream shop in Melbourne. For the calibre of the icecream and how its made, I would have paid more. I would definitely recommend a visit to N2.

Approximate cost: $6

This review is for The Atlantic Restaurant, Southbank VIC

verified email - 15 Nov 2013

The Atlantic is a beautiful restaurant. My boyfriend took me here recently for my birthday. The atmosphere is romantic and lovely. The host and waitress were helpful and attentive. For starters, we both shared a plate of oysters. Usually, I enjoy oysters kilpatrick over natural. But not here! The oysters were so fresh, they needed no accompaniments! Absolutely beautiful. For mains, we both had steaks. They were cooked perfectly. After our mains, the waitress brought out a dessert with a candle in it as well as a birthday card, hand written by the manager, wishing me happy birthday. It was such a wonderful touch and I felt very special! Such a lovely place to go, the food, service and atmosphere are all great. Definitely cannot wait to return!

This review is for Yamabuki, Williamstown VIC

verified email - 15 Nov 2013

Overall, Yamabuki is average. Having lived in Japan, I have a good idea of what 'good' japanese food should taste like. The food here is average, I have definitely eaten better. The tempura was very floury, with large bursts of uncooked flour in most pieces. The sushi tasted more like the kind you can pick up in a shopping center and the sashimi just doesn't have that 'melt in your mouth' texure you want. In Williamstown, Yamabuki is pretty much your only choice for Japanese food. I would recommend, if you're craving it, to venture across the bridge to somewhere else.

This review is for Al Porto Vecchio, Williamstown VIC

verified email - 15 Nov 2013

Al Porto Vecchio is a good place to go in Williamstown for a casual mid week dinner. The atmosphere is very casual and relaxed. The meal sizes are fantastic- you will never leave hungry. They have great $12 deals, which include chicken parma. Where else in Williamstown can you get a massive plate of food for $12? Would recommend, but only if you're after something casual. The service is okay, but you get what you pay for!
