Re-assuring Paediatrician

When our new born baby had some problems in hospital we needed a Paediatrician urgently. We were referred to Dennis and he worked with us over the subsequent week to help translate the technical medico-speak into something we could understand. It is a scary time when your baby is sick and you need someone like Dennis to help you through it.

Questionable dog training method

We were at our wits end with our little Mini fox-terrier barking at anything that moved. We called Bark Busters because they guarantee their systems works. Essentially there system uses a combination of loud 'BAH' sounds and small bags with bolts in them that make a noise when you throw them. The idea is to pre-empt the dog barking and use these sounds to stop them. We did our best with the system but eventually gave up because getting out of bed in the middle of winter to run out in the backyard and throw a small bag on the ground was almost worse than the dog barking.

Great smash repairer

When my car was hit by someone in a parking lot, AAMI awarded the job to Armstrongs. There was some pre-existing damage on the front bumper so I asked them how much more it would cost to have this fixed. Lindsay did a great deal because the paint was already been mixed. We have since had him do a number of other repairs some where the insurer wasn't involved.

Old-fashioned Mechanic that goes out of their way

I went to go out one morning and my car wouldn't start. I had driven past Rod Hind's many times before so I thought I would call them. One of his employees drove to our place (less than 1km but they are not a mobile service) and fixed my car on the spot. He didn't even charge for the extra hassle of driving to our place.

Cheap arborist

We needed someone to write a report for council about a dead tree on a neighbours property that we thought would fall onto our property. Gary quoted a very reasonable price and wrote the report (it did take about a week to get it via email). The tree fell onto our property during a storm before the council did anything so we urgently needed someone to remove it. Gary responded quickly and removed the fallen tree.

I always shop at Baby Bunting for my baby needs. We have bought all of our baby furniture here plus a whole range of other bits and pieces. The staff are very friendly and the range is truly amazing.

Quality affordable Spray tans

Iris makes her salon very warm and friendly. The pricing is very competitive at only $30 for a spray tan. In my experience bookings are pretty easy to get. I had the tan done because I was a bridesmaid in a wedding and wanted some colour. It lasted about a week.

Melbourne's best California rolls

Sushi Sushi is a great new franchise that sells the typical assortment of California Rolls and Sushi. The ingredients are always fresh, and the rolls are very tasty. An really easy thing to give the kids while pushing them in the pram around Chaddy.

Quality food in Chadstone Shopping Centre

Sapore is my favourite place to eat at Chadstone, and believe me I spend a lot of time there. Forget the garbage they sell in the food courts and try out the amazing Asian Beef salad, gourmet pizza's or the Italian Aranchini rice balls.
