Only open a week at the time of our visit but the dining area downstairs was packed to the point where we had to dine upstairs adjacent to the pokies area. The first surprise was the very light weight, brown plastic chairs provided at the upstairs tables. I never felt secure as the chair kept flexing. It won't be long before someone comes crashing to the floor.

The second surprise was the cost of drinks at the upstairs bar. A Bundy and Cola in a bottle was $9. A Vodka Cruiser was also $9. We were shocked at that price and asked the bar person to check. She did and assured us it was the correct price. More akin to the casino for prices than a suburban club.

We went downstairs to order our meals and went back to our table upstairs. My meal, a 400 gramme rump arrived with the salad bowl covered in the mushroom sauce from the rump. The salad itself was crisp with a nice dressing but was far too heavy on the lettuce as opposed to the other parts of it. The rump was cooked as requested and was tender in those areas where it was not paper thin. Far too thin for my taste.

My partner had chicken parmagina which she described as well cooked but very bland and lacking in taste.

Overall not too bad but at those prices, the drinks in particualr you would expect more than what we received.

The only real down side was one of the waitresses. She got one of the main course orders wrong which meant a delay in one of us eating when the rest had well and truly started. The meals themselves were generally good although the salmon with penne was a little too salty in spots. The wood fired pizza was perhaps a little under cooked for my taste. Generally efficent service was let down by the bill showing the wrong main meal at a higher price than what the correct meal was. This was soon fixed by the owner. A busy night and a friendly sort of vibe so the lapses can be overlooked.

Much improved on our last visit. I had the rump which was well cooked as per my request but it was far too small. The rump had been cut in less than half it's original size. The garden salad relied far too much on lettuce and was lacking even a slice of onion. This time at least the meals came out in the correct order, entrees, mains with salads and dessert. The girl who served us was difficult to understand, I am unsure if that was due to the noise around us or her soft voice.

The steak which cost $38 without sauce was very nice indeed. Shame the baked potato was not cooked in the jacket as it lacked crispness. The sour cream would have improved it had the potato been split open more and perhaps had some bacon added. Why do places insist on seating people at adjoining tables when the place is almost empty? the service was ok. it was prompt enough and nothing was out of place as such but it seemed to lack any enthusiasm.

Amazing how the negative reviews have been removed. Our experience here was less than great. Surely a site such as this should allow both postive or negative reviews to stand if it is to be a worthwhile site for people to choose where they go.

A bland atmosphere and decor greats you on arrival. No staff did for several minutes. Once seated it took several minutes for a menu to appear. A drinks order took over 15 minutes to get to the table. The meals themselves were well cooked but for want of a better word, bland. What was astounding was the waitress who dropped a piece of food from a plate as she was bringing it to an adjoining table and calmly picked it up from the floor and replaced it on the plate.
