This review is for Kingfisher Bay, Fraser Island QLD

I decided to stay here on my first visit to Fraser Island, its called an Eco resort but I wasnt expecting it to be quite so rustic! Rooms are in need of an update, and its a good idea to take any drinks and snacks you want to consume in your room with you as the island store prices are ridiculous.
The restaurant at the resort is really good with lots of local ingredients used and there is good live music at the bar in the evening.
If you dont have a 4WD there are some tours (very expensive!!) otherwise you will be pretty much stranded at the resort for the duration of your stay.

Cute cafe & deli on Kedron Brooke rd, great coffee, great food and a fantastic selection of fresh pastas and sauce to take home. We bought some spinach & ricotta cannelloni and some napoli sauce & they were fantastic.

I recently tried this supplier for the first time, they offer online ordering or you can pop in. Prices are quite reasonable. I was trying out fondant cake decorating for the first time and the staff were very helpful & informative.

I had a craving for a burger so decided to try this local take away. The staff were friendly, the burger was pretty good and they have home made potato cakes which were fantastic.

I bought my dad to the XXXX brewery for his birthday to do the tour and some lunch. The tour was interesting and ran for about half an hour, the cost of the tour included some beers afterwards as well.
Lunch was great, they offer a good selection of pub meals such as sliders, fish & chips and burgers.

Ive been here a few times for coffee but recently bought a friend here to enjoy the view and some lunch. We had burgers which were huge and very tasty. I also had an ice coffee which was perfectly made. The cake selection looked amazing but unfortunately we didnt get to try it. Service was really quick and friendly.

This review is for Max Brenner, Bulimba QLD

verified email - 15 Jul 2013

Dissapointing! I was excited to try Max Brenner for the first time after passing and always seeing a line up! But after visiting I think the line up at Bulimba is more due to lack of staff? One person serving and one barrista for dozens of customers. I waited ages to order, then for my drink and dessert to arrive.
I tried the chocolate brownie sundae expecting hot brownies topped with ice cream but the brownies were as cold as the icecream they were served with. I also ordered an italian hot chocolate which tasted sour and I didnt drink it (I also didnt take it back because I couldnt be bothered waiting 20mins for a refund or replacement). Back to Freestyle Tout for coffee and dessert for me!

This review is for Kokoro Bistro, Paddington QLD

I tried Kokoro bistro for the first time this week, it is a buffet style Japanese and Korean restaurant. There was a great variety and the food itself was really nice. There was miso soup, dumplings and salad, fried food such as spring rolls, fish and wontons, in the middle of the restaurant they had a sushi bar with about 6 varietys of sushi rolls and about 5 varieties of sashimi. For mains there was mussels, a beef curry, crispy chicken and a prawn rice. They also offered dessert of fruit and sweets like brownies.
Service was prompt and friendly Id definitely go back.

This review is for Tangalooma Island Resort, Moreton Island QLD

I loved staying at Tangalooma, transport leaves from near Hamilton and there is parking available, the trip across to the island was very quick and comfortable and we saw two whales.
The room was clean and comfortable, we tried out the bar, ate dinner in one of the restaurants and enjoyed a buffet breakfast the next day.
There is lots to do on the island most importantly the dolphin feeding which I loved. I'd definitely return to Tangalooma, it's beautiful.

This review is for Pizza Emporium, Stafford Heights QLD

Pizza Emporium is my favorite pizza place on the north side, very authentic pizzas with a thin base and a great selection of toppings. My favourite is the pumpkin, feta and pesto. I've also tried the chicken salad for lunch and its very filling packed with chicken, avocado, pumpkin cheese, and salad. Pastas are excellent too.

Approximate cost: $18-$20
