Flowers of the World is a beautiful cafe & florist in the heart of Southbank, my husband bought me a beautiful bunch of flowers from here and they lasted for weeks so definitely market fresh. I've since tried their coffee as well and can recommend that as well, great place to grab a take away coffee on your way to check out the markets.
A group of us tried San Kai for lunch, they offer a $10 lunch special which is a good way to try them out. I had a sushi plate and the salmon teriyaki lunch special which came with miso soup and salad. I was a bit disappointed with the sushi plate as it was mainly teriyaki chicken nori rolls.
New cafe in Gaythorne doing breakfast & lunch. Quirky menu with meal names like Witches breakfast. Great coffee, and they also off a build your own breakfast option for those who don't just eat the standard bacon & eggs.
This cafe is also very family friendly with children's books etc available for the little ones!
Im currently taking my 7month old twins to parent and baby swiming classes and they love it, the class uses lots of singing and games to teach little ones water safety and to build their confidence in the water. The pool and the room are heated so its possible to continue the lessons throughout winter.
Recently tried this new restaurant on Stafford Road, they offer online ordering for delivery with a 20% discount off your first order!
They have an extensive menu and you are able to choose your meat, sauce and amount of spice combination for most of the meat curries. They also have some specialties like butter chicken and chicken tikka masala, and they have an extensive variety of vegitarian dishes - the saag aloo was delicious. Most of the mains come in a snack or regular size which is great if you want to try a variety of dishes rather than just one and rice is included with all mains.
Approximate cost: $10-$15
Mums bakery is one of the better bakeries in Kedron, the have a huge selection of delicious pies & sausage rolls along with cakes, pasteries & slices. A bit hard to get to if you are heading inbound on Gympie Rd, definitely worth stopping if it's what you are craving.
Good local bakery with a good selection of pies, cakes, sandwiches etc. friendly staff and reasonably priced. They also have live music & wood fired pizzas on a Friday night, worth a visit.
I love this bakery on Oxford st and often stop in here for something sweet after lunch. They have a variety of different baked goods & sweets. My favorite is the macadamia & caramel slice.
I recently tried the florist section of this business, the flowers are market fresh, resonably priced and look amazing. There is also a cafe here and the coffees looked sensational. I had a pram and the only access was two small steps but the staff were very helpful.
I love visiting this restaurant when in sydney. There is another Chat thai in the Westfield centre but I prefer the menu at Haymarket. The food is amazing and really authentic. They do not take bookings and there is usually a line up but they do take your number and call you so you can go and have a drink somewhere nearby.
