Went here on a Sunday, and bought myself a new pair of shoes. Had to find the size myself, got no assistance from the staff whatsoever. In fact, the only time I spoke to staff in the store is when I paid.

So, if you like self-service, then this is the place for you!

Visited here on a Scoopon deal, and was satisfied overall.

The room has had some refurbishment done, but some of the furnishings were still a little dated. The room itself wasn't massive, and the small window looked across to a central corridor. I wasn't expecting a room with a bay view, but surely, outside of the hotel would have been sufficient!

The deal included a bottle of sparkling, which was lovely, and the staff did a good job. The breakfast was also nice, and kept us going for the rest of the day.

Parking onsite is fantastic, and overall, a good joint to stay at in the area.

I went to this bakery over the weekend whilst down at Brighton, and they had an excellent Coffee and Cake deal for $6.90. I had a Hot Chocolate and a slice of Raspberry Chocolate Indulgence cake, and my goodness, it was awesome!

My partner had an apple-crumble type cake, I can't remember the exact name... but she also thoroughly enjoyed that, too!

We enjoyed the coffee and cake so much that we returned the following day to indulge again!

I went to this place for the first time on Good Friday, because my previously-normal place was packed. Angel Fish didn't have many people in the store, which was appealing to me, as I was hungry.

Although you get worried when a Fish and Chip Shop is quiet, I did note there were stacks of phone orders coming in, so a good sign. The prices were reasonable, probably a touch cheaper than others.

Got home, and LOVED the fish and chips. Huge servings, perfectly cooked, faultless.

This is my new Fish and Chip shop!

I've been for the Burvale many, many times for beers and cheap feeds in the Brew Bar... and that's what they should stick to.

For the first time, I ate in the Bistro. It's a Woolworths/ALH pub, so the menu is similar to all those, including the prices (compare Shoppingtown Hotel, The Blackburn, and the Mountain View Hotel Glen Wav). So, it's expensive. The food came out and it was lukewarm at-best. And it was pretty poor in terms of quality.

I'm happy to eat in the bar with a few beers, but why would I ever go to the Bistro again???

I stayed a nice here with my partner, on a Romance Package in a Spa Room. The service was all good, however, there were a few problems:
- There was a wedding on at the venue that night, so parking was difficult when we returned after dinner.
- The spa didn't work in our room, so we had to move.
- The room key in our second room malfunctioned.

There were good points, however, like the bottle of sparkling upon arrival, and the full brekky in the morning.

When on a day trip to Hobart, an associate of mine and I dropped in to Customs House Hotel for a parma and a beer, and they also had a parma deal the day we went there! The food was excellent, and the service was friendly and efficient. Anyone who has gone to Hobart since has been directed to Customs House for a visit!

Woolworths, or Safeway as I prefer to call it, in Bayswater is a stand-out in terms of supermarkets in the area. The staff seem happy and friendly, and I can usually find everything I need. The staff clearly understand that it does not hurt to smile and be friendly, and this makes the shopping experience all the more pleasant.

East Empress has reasonable service, pretty good food, but is astonishingly overpriced for a Chinese restaurant. The fact that the food can arrive within 5 minutes suggests that there's no personal touch in the food preparation.

Went on a Wednesday night, which has a $12.50 Porterhouse Steak offer. The value of that deal was excellent, and our meals arrived quite quickly. The steak on my plate was significantly smaller than that of my dining companion.

The service as lacklustre at best. Although we were served quickly and the meals were there in no time at all, there was very little follow-up service. We were not offered more drinks, nor were we offered the opportunity to purchase coffees or desserts. We're not going to beg to pay more money, so we left after having a good chat for an hour or so.

So, if you're after a good cheap feed, then this is good. If you're looking for good service, then perhaps not.
