We visited Noosa 5 Cinemas while on holiday during Easter. I can see why it was so busy! The theatre was smaller than expected and it was really quite cosy and comfortable. Even though we had front row seats we didn't have to strain our necks at all. The snack bar was moderately priced too and there is a Coffee Club downstairs for pre-movie dinner dates or late night snacks. Wish we could come here more often.
What a fantastic place to stay! 10 out of 10 stars! We feel so lucky to have found this place on the internet for a 3 night spur of the moment stay during Easter holidays.
The staff were welcoming and helpful with our queries and the resort is private, a short walk to the beach with secure underground parking, 4 pools, bbq area, gym and tropical landscaping.
The furnishings are modern and very cosy with lots of decorative cushions and awesome mattress toppers making for a dreamy night's sleep! Clean and comfortable units with fully equipped kitchen and patios overlooking foliage or pools.
It rained during our stay so we look forward to returning in future with better weather.
This place is more like a large dark shed in an industrial area and seems disorganised and understaffed. The service was not efficient nor friendly but this may be because they were so busy during a rainy school holiday time. We refused to pay upwards of $70 for a family of 4 to have 2 games of bowling so we settled for playing some arcade games to pass the time which seemed antiquated at best. Pool tables need repair and cues need chalk. Plenty of parking out front and not bad if you want a place to hang out with friends during wet weather. (3 games which may take an hour = $25 per adult)
Approximate cost: $25+
Pulled off the busy highway for a pie pit stop in the rain. Beefy's Pies were hot, delicious, fresh and tasty. Their sweet bakery goods like lamingtons, meringues and slices also looked generous in size for the moderate price. The only thing letting Beefy's down is that they don't serve gravy nor do they serve chips - that's just un-Australian in my book! Pie, chips 'n gravy is practically ONE word! Ah well....maybe they'll read this and think about supplying at least some gravy.
We were pleased that they found a buyer for our home so quickly but we couldn't say that there was any kind of professional or courteous follow up post-sale.
If you're needing advice from those in the know, you'll be barking up the wrong tree with this business. We never realised that the basic settlement of a house sale could be so poorly managed. There was little communication, hasty advice that always seemed to be of benefit to the opposing party rather than to us and we are still waiting on an itemised account so we can finalise things. Not recommended.

Had some holes repaired in the boot of my Dad's car recently and Gemini did an amazing job making it look like new again. The service we received was very professional and reliable....not cheap for such a small job but I'd still recommend their service and quality workmanship. Off street parking available.
I recommend Wagner plumbing if you need very helpful service in a short timeframe. Recently I needed a gravel stormwater pit installed URGENTLY so I could expediate the sale of our home and I called Wagner and Kylie who took my call made it happen pronto...even to the point of rearranging her plumber's schedules so they could get my job done first thing the next morning. Very helpful indeed. Site unseen I was quoted over the phone which is never a good idea in any situation because the final job ended up costing about 3 times the original ballpark quote (with the addition of extra labour to finish the job on time) but we were happy it was done so quickly and professionally which was our main concern. Veyr reliable.
Approximate cost: $1400.00
I thought these guys just did car batteries but Vodafone suggested I go there to get a mobile phone battery when my husband's battery went dead. These guys have got everything!!! Batteries for games, smoke detectors, mobility aids, cameras - you name it.
Friendly service, handy parking and they even sent us a 10% discount voucher in the mail a few weeks later.
Used their drive through for a Friday night family feed and was greeted by a very happy young girl who was so friendly and courteous with a GREAT attitude. (I think her name was Lauren) Every fast food place should have people like that serving customers! By comparison, last week we had KFC and the staff could barely manage a hello...not cool KFC. Anyway, Red Rooster chips are always good and we love their gravy.
