We've been coming here for years because they always seem to have modern equipment with great staff service and you can take advantage of special deals like $4 games on Sundays after 5pm ($2.50 shoe hire) The chips from the cafe are really good too but you can also get other meals and coffee and even beer too I am told. Wouldn't mind getting the kids to join a league at some point because it's a fun social sport that can build their confidence.

What a wonderful FREE place to take your family for a picnic or even just a leisurely stroll. There are so many varieties of plants to look at, photograph, touch and smell - every corner turned brings a new experience much to the delight of international guests and children alike. My favourite part is the elegant Japanese garden with its picturesque waterfall and lily pond. What a beautifully maintained and secret corner of Brisbane everyone ought to remember is here.

Spent an active day in the sun with the family here and our visiting foreign guest. Wear hat and sunscreen! The day is organised around a flow of different activities so it's best to arrive at 9.30 and go from one to the next till noon. It's the best place to showcase Australiana culture such as boomerang throwing, billy tea, damper, sheep shearing, farm animals, sheepdogs, whip cracking, stockhorse show and it all includes a bbq buffet lunch too. Koala photos from $18. Would've been better with more kangaroos to feed - can get very busy in that enclosure! Great day of country education for the kids and the staff were wonderful. Tip: order your tickets online in advance to save money.

For the best view of Brisbane city and a delicious Norgen Vaaz ice cream in a waffle cone, you can't get any better than this place up on the mountain. The views are spectacular and a must-see for visiting foreign guests. Though we only had ice cream ($4.20 for a single cone) the menu caters for all day dining including coffee, devonshire teas and kids meals. Would love to return again soon for something more substantial.

We were lured in by the fact that kids eat free all day every day during the school holidays and they got a bonus scoop of ice cream for dessert too. For 3 adults to dine at night it was about $75, portion sizes were good, staff could've been a little more knowledgable. There's a games room for the kids and plenty of parking off street. Odd menu items like an English muffin for the child's hamburger instead of a bun and the child's spaghetti tasted canned to be honest. Nice chips though most things are a little on the expensive side in my personal opinion.

Just spent 2 nights at Pavilions and thought it was a modern clean establishment - We weren't able to get an ocean view apartment but it wasn't too much of a problem since we were only one block away from the beach which was pristine and picturesque, an easy walk away. The pool area was great with a separate warm jacuzzi and had handy facilities like bbq, tables, toilets and change room. We had a 2 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms, laundry, fully appointed kitchenette, dining and living spaces. Air con, fans in bedrooms, all clean and very comfortable for 4-5 people. Secure basement car park and Coles, pharmacy and bottleshop directly below too. Would recommend to families as its set apart from the hustle and bustle of Surfers Paradise. Thumbs up!

Cannot recommend this business positively unfortunately. Used an online voucher deal and had to pay for extras on top. The owner was friendly at first but seemed miffed when we couldn't pick up the vehicle at a time that suited him. My husband thinks that his brakes even sounded worse after the service. We ended up paying more to get our car serviced elsewhere for better peace of mind...I don't think I'll be buying online vouchers anymore. They are offered by businesses who need more customers so there's usually a reason for that.

You wouldn't know it driving past this unassuming little shed but inside there is a treasure trove of deli products and goodies from all corners of the globe. Their range of pasta is varied and excellent - priced at 2 bags for $6 (brands like Molisana and Barilla, raviolini and tortellini etc by Angelo's and Giovanni's) not to mention the delicious aroma of parmeggiano reggiano coming from the cold room in the rear of the shed. They have great bargains on fruit/vegies and surprisingly have another room brimming with pet food/poultry products like grain and chook pellets. I wish I didn't live so far away or this would be my weekly store.

Can't believe the prices at Wendy's. $4 for a junior smoothie. $3.70 for a single cone. The staff were two young girls with little retail experience and it took much longer than it should have to get our simple order especially since we were the only customers at the time. I understand that I was being served by a trainee but the superior person could have helped her more with some guidance. My 8 yr old daughter commented that Baskin Robbins ice cream is way better than Wendy's.

Took my 5 yr old son there for a buzz cut on the spur of the moment after school, didn't have to wait long and it didn't take long for the lady to cut his hair either. She did a great job and I was very pleased. They don't take appointments...all on a walk-in basis. I think it was $17.95 - worth it since I've tried to cut his hair myself and it takes me twice as long with clippers at home.
