Lovely place for good Malaysian food. I can vouch for the Hainanese Chicken Rice - yum! This place is often overlooked because it's on the end of the Clayton shopping strip by the station and upstairs, but it is well worth a visit.

This is one of the best value options for a sit-down meal at Southland outside of the food court. They have a lunch deal which includes a wine and tea/coffee. The food is quite decent. I like the BBQ chicken pizza, or calamari if I'm in the mood for something fried.

Love this place. They have a huge selection of pastries and other dishes (try the chicken and chickpea), and the house-made Turkish Delight is superb. Make sure to take home a box or two. I like the cube ones more than the sliced, but it is nice to sample the new flavours they release every now and then. They have festivals occasionally too which are fun!

I've been here a few times with the folks and it is fairly good value. The food is a bit bland, but you tend not to expect so much from Pokies places. They sometimes have live entertainment which is nice.

I tried Koba with a Groupon so it was great value (pricing not bad regularly too). It's a tasty fusion combo of Korean BBQ and burritos. Not bad for a quick bite.

Try the soft-shelled crab sushi burger with a crab cream croquette on the side - so good! Come early though, as they tend to sell out of the soft-shelled crab. The bento packs are good value and super filling. If you have room for dessert, the ichigo daikufu (strawberry mochi) is delicious.

Bowery to Williamsburg is a great little breakfast or lunch spot. The fried chicken and waffles are amazing, and so it their simple lox and shmear bagel - yum! The only possible negative is the wait time, and likelihood of sharing a table as they are so busy.
Approximate cost: $16
I've been here twice and each time the food was average, and the prices were high. I expect a bit more for my dollar, but having said that, the service is attentive.

I always have the hainanese chicken rice here - so tasty! Lunch time prices are good, and the manager is super friendly.

This place has one of the best butter chickens I've ever had. Their service is so-so (they don't really explain what menu items are when asked, and though they offer free delivery they've not once successfully taken down my order over the phone). However, for the price and taste, I still give them four stars.
