Mackay recently had a flood. As a result insurance went up significantly with a number of companies refusing to insure here. My house was unaffected by the flood and still my premium with a certain NSW insurer doubled. I call and tried to explain this to them with a "sorry but thats the price. too bad" response. Called Suncorp who gave me a quote of half the cost of my current insurer and $200 under my previous years insurance. I also switched my car over when they undercut my current quote. Overall Suncorp are highly recommended especially as Flood Cover is now included free of charge.

so my first experience with tiger air was a 3 hour delay on my flight to melbourne. Then on the return flight, i was 550grams over weight and they wanted to charge me $28 for excess baggage. Needless to say i got rid of 550 grams. Their staff are ok but quite abrupt. The plane has more of a cattle truck feel to it than a plane. All this said, you get what you pay for and for the amount you pay - you shouldn't expect much. Their prices are unbeatable and a few inconveniences should be expected.

OO is great in that it is a 24 hour department store. Their range is wide and prices are not too bad. somethings can be found on other similar sites for cheaper. The fact that you get Virgin Velocity Points makes me always consider them when looking for something

Members Equity bank are exceptional. I have now had 3 home loans with them over a 8 year period. Throughout this time, i have never once has any problems. Their rates are great. (Discounted if a member of a superfund) Their mobile lenders are always well versed in the products they sell and recommend the right product for your circumstances. They can also tell you whether you will be likely to get the loan on the spot. Their phone line is always answered promptly and you get a personal mortgage manager with a direct phone number. OVerall I can speak highly enough of members equity. I will always use them and have recommended them to a number of friends fed up with the big 4.

I have used wotif a number of times for hotel bookings etc. Always found a bargain and never had a problem with the booking on arrival. Highly recommended

I have grabbed a number of pizza's from pizza hut over the years. In Mackay Qld, i have tried the Greenfields and Fourways Stores. I have also ordered online. Always had great pizza's. I especially recommend the cheesy crust pizza for something different. You will never throw out the crusts with this one!

I get take away from Toong Tong often. The food is always a consistently good quality. Some menu items are a little overpriced for the quantity you receive. The restuarant itself is nice and clean. It has recently been updated but the aircon is always set at sub artic levels.
