Broken down ducted heating, contacted via email and he quickly responded within the day. Very thorough and did not charge for a call out to assess the system. Organized the replacement within the week and he spent almost half to three quarters of the day here to make sure everything was set up and even worked through lunch! He organized removal of the old unit and took the time to walk through the operation of the new system and some pointers on servicing. Very polite, punctual and punctual (he provided a half hour timeframe in which he would arrive and did!). I would definitely not hesitate to use him again in the future. Thanks to the other WOMO reviewers so far for a good recommendation!
Not as cheap as some other asian restaurants but good quality food here, one of the few places with satisfactory pineapple fried rice, decent quality other food also available.

The almost-replacement for Bob's Kitchen that used to exist in Springvale. Things to have here are the dumplings which are excellent and good value. (obviously a place named Ping's Dumpling's should pride themselves on their dumplings). Menu also have other standard chinese restaurant fare but I'd stick with the dumplings here.

Just visited this small family restaurant yesterday and enjoyed their Hokkien Mee, Char Kway Teow (Singapore), Chendol so far. Very authentic taste, husband and wife run so there is a cap on production speed because of the huge demand after about 6.30pm! Limited seating in store as well so maybe give them a call beforehand. Menus do change very frequently so add them on twitter for their updates.
Approximate cost: $9.90
Char hor fun, thick barley drinks, milo dinosaur, hokkien mee *this was a topic of discussion between us and a complete other stranger whether this really is the only location to find this in Melbourne*, kaya toast set with half boiled egg.
Cheap, service with a smile, quick, lots of seating (until people finally clue on to the hidden gem that is this joint). Definitely worth a try!

While a long time diner of this establishment, a recent visit for dinner on a weekday to the same crowded place with food that on retrospect, really isn't that much of value for money - although average on Lygon St and the service was poor with unhappy waiters/waitresses. We had the green curry, fried flounder and minced pork and it was acceptable although turnaround from trying to find a waiter to order to food arriving approximately 30 mins. In short - understaffed, overhyped, disappointing.
Killiney Kopitiam just two stores down on the other hand...is a whole different story much more deserving of business!
Approximate cost: $15
A little bit pricey at $65 per duck with noodles BUT Simon still maintains the high standard of his ducks and service was never an issue here. The place was full for both his 6pm and 8pm sittings while the neighbouring restaurants were empty, I think that speaks for itself really.
So far have not been tempted to try the other fare available but the duck + noodle + soup course is still more than sufficient along with Simon's boisterous and large friendly personality!

Made a booking three weeks in advance and was advised that a loan car would be available on the day. Arrived at 9am and no one in attendance and reception was locked. Checked the advertized opening hours (8am-6pm) and called from my mobile, eventually got a mechanic out who then proceeded to ask if I wanted to book a service. I said no and pointed to the book and advised that a loan car should have been available. Mechanic rang his boss (George) and said couldn't get through and if I was in a rush - asked how long and got a shrug - waited for 15 minutes and no luck. Place looks run down and highly unprofessional, decided to leave and take my business elsewhere. Probably a good idea saving the $$$ and having wasted an hour driving to and fro and waiting instead.
Best described as a new relatively hidden counterpart to Hutong, this restaurant delivers fast, decent dumpling fixes when required. The eggplant with sauce is also excellent although the dessert is on the pricey side. Somewhere to try if you are a fan of Hutong but not wanting the lines (we got in first try for a table of 4). They also use a digital ordering system with no pressure from waiters or trying to find a waiter in a busy period.

Visited Wet and Wild on a family vacation with a few family members who were a bit concerned about heights, we were looking forward to have a bit of a laze in the Calypso Beach section and the wave pool but sadly Calypso was closed and we kept getting told off for going anywhere near the 75% part of the end of the wave pool. Ended up being a little substandard really, still an enjoyable experience overall but probably not one I'd repeat for a while.
