I have had pet insurance with PIA for nearly 5yrs. All of my routine care cover claims have been processed quickly and efficiently. I did need to make a claim early on for a dog with an injured leg, an operation of nearly $4,000. If it wasn't for the insurance we would not have been able to afford such an operation. Unfortunately the claims process was tedious and dragged out for some months, leaving us out of pocket for an unacceptable extended period. This was extremely disappointing and frustrating. Since then, I have had to make other large claims and these have been processed quickly and efficiently. I can only assume that their customer service has had a much needed revamp since my initial dealings with them. I now would (and have) recommend them to anyone who loves their pet.
*as a side note, majority (99%) of the Pet Insurance Companies in Australia are underwritten by PetSure (Australia). Any claims dealings you have are with PetSure not PIA, so it doesn't really matter who you are insured with in relation to claims issues. If you move insurance provider changes are you will still have to deal with the same claims department. I chose PIA because they were cheaper than the other companies that I researched at the time of signing up.

I would and have highly recommend this insurance company to anyone looking for great coverage for their beloved pet.
I switched over to PIA from my previous insurance and they great setting me up with my 2 dogs.
I have put a couple of claims through within the last 2 years of being with PIA and there's never been a problem with completing a claim for me.
10 months ago I got a new puppy and they set me up for another account at a great price.

This will be my second year as a customer with PIA. I've never had to make a claim before, so not sure how they are with claims. However I received my renewal notice which was considerably higher than the previous years. I shopped around and found some cheaper companies, but they didn't offer as much as PIA so I called them. The sales gentleman was pretty friendly and actually explained why the premium had gone up so much and offered to give me a free moth to keep me as a customer. Very happy with there service.

Claiming was fast and easy, and could be done online. Very thankful to have PIA after our puppy got sick suddenly and we ended up with a $1800 bill. It was such a relief knowing we were covered.

We've had insurance with PIA for many years for our dogs and have had all claims payed out no dramas. PIA is always very helpful on the phone and claims have been processed quickly.

I have had insurance through PIA for 5 years now, recently I made a claim which was easy to complete and paid the refund into my account within weeks. It definitely made a stressful situation easier, knowing the bill at the end was not going to be huge!

We recently took out pet insurance with Pet Insurance Australia and once joining we thought very little about it, until on a routine visit to our Vet a few lumps were discovered.
The Vet suggested that we action them asap and get a biopsy done as to determine the make-up of the lumps.
This was done and all came back clear, but with an invoice of $1200, while we do not care about the cost of anything for our puppy, we were a little taken back. We submitted the invoice to Pet Insurance Australia who were very prompted in reimbursing us nearly 80% of the cost. No problems no hassles no issues.
Cannot recommend Pet Insurance Australia high enough for their help, assistance and peace of mind.

The policy is great as it allows you to claim back some basics you'd normally be out of pocket with. When you do make a claim it's really easy to do online. The process has always been very quick & efficient with a cheque being sent through in the post within days. I will happily continue to renew with PIA each year. Great service.

Easy to sign up with PIA and also easy to register and then access the portal. We have made a claim and the process was very simple and efficient. Would recommend.
