With my first claim I had to chase and chase the operators in the call centre to follow up - the claim ended up dragging on for over a month, at least. Because I spoke with people in foreign call centres, there was a language barrier at times which was really quite frustrating. But in the end the claim was sorted. I guess it was just a bit of a rocky start.

My second claim was a breeze though and this policy has been a great comfort for me with regards to my rescue Wolfhound X who only last week needed to go to the vet AGAIN, for a new condition this time - skin issues! It's total peace of mind for me, as if anything bad happened to her, the last thing I'd need would be financial stress on top of the emotional stress.

In all, they're great to deal with in terms of getting set up quickly - I believe I spoke to someone in Australia to get set up. I'm actually probably going to swap my other dog over from Petplan shortly to PIA because they're much cheaper. So there you have it, as honest and unbiased as I can be! I would recommend them for their cost, which is below other insurers.

My Opie needed vetwork for weeing blood, payment from PIA was made to me within a week. I worked out I've made my money back since owning him as a pup. Reassuring knowing they will always be there!

I would recommend this business because they have helped us out with every claim and the value for money is unbeatable! Worth every penny. Buster the dog lives a happy, comfortable life because we are able to keep up with his vet bills and spoil him with the money we receive back from PIA!

We shopped around & found PIA was great value for money, plus they were recommended to us by family who had found the service excellent. We have found the same, & had no trouble with our claim for surgery for our puppy after an injury, saved us thousands!

I found these guys really great. Good customer service and the product was value for money. I rang around all the pet insurance companies before settling on PIA. I would recommend to my friends.

Our puppy was only months old when we first made a claim... that was after he helped himself to a bunch of bananas off the bench, and ate the whole lot, skin and all!! We have since learnt that dogs cannot digest banana peel. Had it not been for PIA, we would have been out of pocket $4000! We have since had three trips to the emergency vet due to this big boofhead eating things he shouldn't! PIA have always come through with each and every claim we have made. We couldn't be happier!

Our now 2yr old cat is the cat with 12 lives .... in his short life he has had 2 ticks, been runover, suffered cardiac arrest & had 2 broken hips .... needless to say he is still going strong although now an inside cat!! PIA were great, initially with both claims a little difficult getting the history (although by the 2nd claim they had all the info) but once that hurdle was stumbled over, it was plain sailing from there on .....

My dog has been in the wars lately and we have submitted multiple claims. I received a message when they were received and payment was quick.
