We tried this place one afternoon before going to see a movie and Southbank and were pleasantly surprised. There is a really good variety of burgers and they are HUGE. The patties themselves are excellent, very tasty and not dry at all. We also got handcut fries and onion rings on the side which we could not finished but both were excellent. They also make great milkshakes but be warned to not order one if you want any hope of finishing your burger! The biggest pitfall is parking at Southbank is very expensive and at the time this place did not validate parking like other restaurants in Southbank.

I love this restaurant, one of the best priced Asian dine in and takeaway places around. Their menu is full of very affordable meals and I've tried quite alot of them. They have really nice noodles soups and stir fries. Their steamed pork buns are also really good. And for a nice change from other restaurant their drinks are really reasonably priced too. It's a nice casual place to dine in, they main problem is not much parking so your best bet is to park in Toowong Village.

I hired a private dining room here for my husband's birthday and overall was very happy with the experience. I was a little hesitant at first when I originally booked the room they told me their was no hire fee but then called me back a couple of nights before the dinner to let me know the girl made a mistake and there was actually a $200 fee for having your own waiter. It was too late to change venues so I went ahead with it and they gave us some complimentary wine to make up for the mistake. On the night the room they gave us was really nice and cosy. Our waiter was great. It was a busy Saturday night so there was a very very long wait on our food but it was worth waiting for. I would definatly do another function here or go for dinner anytime.

This review is for Wagamama, Fortitude Valley QLD

This is my favourite Wagamama restaurant in Brisbane. They makes very delicious, fresh, healthy Japanese food. Their gyozas are the best starter and I highly recommend the Chilli Chicken Ramen for a main. They also make fantastic cocktails at reasonable prices. The passion fruit Mojito is so good. It also has a very open atmosphere where you can even see the chefs cooking your food. The only let own is they have a really high turnover of staff and sometimes the wait staff are not the most professional.

Approximate cost: $12 - 20

This review is for Sono Japanese Restaurant, Brisbane QLD

We went to this restaurant after having a fantastic experience at the other Sono restaurant at Portside in Hamilton so we had high expectations. Unfortunately we were let down. The atmosphere is nowhere near at nice, it just didn't feel as cool, funky and clean as the Hamilton restaurant. We also ordered the same food we'd had at Hamilton and it was nowhere near as good. Definatly not worth the expensive prices. If you want to try this restaurant do yourself a favour and go to the Portside one instead, it's just so much better.

Approximate cost: $20 - $55

This was definatly the best Japanese fine dining restaurant I have been to. We went here for a friend's birthday dinner and couldn't believe how cool this restaurant was. We had a private room with sunken tables. There are sunken tables throughout the restaurant and normal tables also. There is also Teppenyaki tables. We ordered the $65 per person banquet and it was so good. I would definatly order it again on my next visit. The biggest downfall of the restaurant is how pricey the drinks but the food more than makes up for that.

I've been a customer of this restaurant for about 10 years now and it's been consistently good the whole time. They always have my order ready for me when I arrive even when they are super busy. I can highly recommend their Mongolian Lamb and Chicken with Cashews dish. They also always throw in a bag of prawn chips which is a bonus.

Approximate cost: $10 - 15

Yum!! This place makes the yummiest Asian take away food. Their BBQ pork & rice is just so good as is their steamed pork buns. I've also tried the Tokyo beef and it was very tasty, they usually have samples at the front you can try of that dish. The portions are also very generous. Definatly my top pick for food court food.

We stayed at Treasury Casino a couple of weeks ago during the floods when we lost electricity and it was a spontaneous decision to check into the casino. It's such a beautiful heritage building with massive rooms and the comfiest beds in Brisbane. The service is excellent, everyone is so eager to help and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

This review is for Sam Riley Swim School, Mount Gravatt East QLD

verified email - 06 Feb 2013

My 4 year daughter has been attending this swim school for 4 months now and she's progressed in leaps and bounds. They have a viewing room for the parents to watch their kids without the kids being distracted by their parents. The swim instructors are mostly young and vibrant and eager to listen to any concerns you may have. The parking is very limited and it can get quite busy and chaotic in there so if you can avoid just after school hours I would.

Approximate cost: $17 per lesson
