Yummmm! This place is great. We recently had dinner here and we will definatly be returning customers. We had tapas for our entree and they were all excellent, especially the eggplant balls. They had a special when we were there which was 3 tapas and 1/2 litre of Sangria for $40. Definatly good value. We also ordered mains which we couldn't finish as the portions are so big. The pork belly is amazing and the Paella was big enough for 2. One thing I could say though is that the Paella could of been crunchier on the bottom. The prices are a little high but the food is worth it. This place is a must for any Mediterranean/Tapas food lovers.

I have been to this Hotel before and could take it or leave it but what impressed me recently was I organised a cocktail making class here as part of a hen's night and was really happy with what they provided. For $65 a head we had a 2 hour cocktail making class in our own private room that they allowed me to decorate beforehand. Over the 2 hours we made 3 different cocktails and with each one our bartender gave us a little lesson on why the flavours work together and what you can substitute when you try to make them at home. It also included platters of food which were pretty good. They even let us use the room for longer so we could play some hen's party games and just relax until we moved onto our next activity. It was a really fun and unique idea and I think it could work for lots of different types of celebrations.

We went here as part of a hen's night recently as on a Saturday night before they open their doors to the public you can organise Burlesque lesson packages that include drinks and canapes here. The club itself is nicely decorated although it's starting to feel a little old as it doubles as a bar/nightclub and in the daylight you can see all the wear and tear. There was a yucky smell coming from the bathroom area aswell. The food was actually really nice but the portions were very small. I know they are canapes but there was only about 5 - pieces per person which is just not enough especially when you are drinking. The drinks are very expensive, more than $10 for a glass of wine and almost $20 for a cocktail. Zuri Bar and Dining is not bad but I think next time I'll try somewhere else.

This review is for Peebo And Dagwood, Brisbane QLD

Peebo and Dagwood are two brothers who are the funniest clowns I have ever seen. I hired them to perform at my son's christening because their website looked the best and I have to say I was over the moon with my choice. They arrived on the day in their super cool clown car and put on an extremely funny magic show that had all the children and adults in stitches. They even have a very special rabbit "stew" who is part of the show and all the kids loved patting at the end. At the end of the show all the kids and quite alot of adult got balloon animals made up by Peebo and Dagwood. These guys are just fantastic and they have an amazing story, I recommend anyone who is interested go onto their website and have a look. If I could give them a 6/5 I would.

This review is for Market Buffet, Brisbane QLD

This is the former Blackjacks Buffet on the bottom level of Treasury Casino and I recently went there for lunch with some interstate visitors. On this occasion we were pretty dissapointed. They have renovated and while the restaurant looks good the buffet itself is not user friendly. They have made it so that all the hot food has lids on it which makes it tricky when you are holding your plate and have to remove and place lids back on while balancing your food. The food itself is also not up to par. The variety has decreased significantly since it was Blackjacks but whoever the Chef is at the moment seems to favour middle eastern flavours because everything tasted middle eastern, even the pumpkin soup! I enjoyed this restaurant so much more before the upgrades. Definatly not worth the $30 lunch and $40 dinner price tag.

Approximate cost: $30-$50

This review is for 2GO Snack Bar, Brisbane QLD

This place is great if you are looking for a late night snack in the city without having to go to the usual fast food places. They make really tasty burgers, soups, pizzas, sandwiches and Asian themed fast food for really reasonable prices. It's located on the bottom level on the casino so if you are on a night out at the casino this place is perfect for those late night cravings. On a Friday and Saturday night they are open till 3am.

This review is for Ginga Sushi Bar, South Brisbane QLD

verified email - 16 Feb 2013

We came here because we are fans of the Ginga Japanese restaurant in southbank and thought we'd try their sushi bar. The sushi was ok but I feel it was well overpriced for pretty standard sushi. It felt like the same sushi you get in most shopping centre food courts but at more than triple the price. It is conveniently located next to the southbank cinemas so I guess if you were wanting to dinner and a movie it would be pretty convenient. All in all it's ok but not great.

I have been to this restaurant a few times now and it's quite good. I'm a huge fan of Japanese food and the meals have always been fresh and tasty. My favourite there is their gyoza's and they are pretty reasonably priced. I think what I like best about this restaurant though it's the atmosphere. It's right in the Southbank dining precinct which always is a little hive of activity but the layout of the restaurant is quite cool too. They have little booth areas where you sit on the ground which feels really unique. Make sure you get them to validate your parking too if you park in the southbank carpark.

This review is for International School Of Music, Coorparoo QLD

I've been taking my 5 year old daughter here for almost 2 years now and she just loves it. My husband has a great love for music and so wanted our daughter to play an instrument so we thought we'd start her up here. At first I thought 3 may be a little young but at that age the classes are mostly a lot of dancing, singing and games. I was still surprised how much she picked up in her first year though. She even learnt how to say the alphabet through one of their songs. Once they are 4 they start the piano and that's when it gets really exciting. Their is nothing quite like watching your little baby play a song on the piano for the first time. Miss Aimee is a great music teacher and she knows when it's time to reassure you that there's no rush, the kids pick if up in their own time. I highly recommend The International School of Music to anyone wanting their child to learn music.

This review is for Peppers Broadbeach, Broadbeach QLD

This is my absolute favourite place to stay in Broadbeach at the
Gold Coast. I have stayed here on 3 different occasions with my family and we have had a blast every time. The rooms are spacious, modern, clean and beautifully decorated. If you can try and get an ocean view it makes the world of difference. The hotel itself has great facilities, we love the Teppanyaki BBQ's and the Zen gardens but my kids favourite is the private cinemas that you can use free of charge. It's such a cool room, just like your own gold class cinema that you get to use to yourself. A great perk is that there are quite a few great restaurants right outside the front door of the hotel. It's perfect for those nights when it's raining and you don't want to get wet walking all over Broadbeach but you still want to eat out. I highly recommend the Japanese restaurant just outside Tower 2. Peppers Broadbeach is one of the pricier hotels on the Gold Coast but in my eyes you pay for the quality here.
