Great place to grab something quick to eat while your shopping or they have pre-packed meals you can take home with you for dinner, especially if you are late night shopping. It's generally tasty Italian food and their prices are pretty good too.

This review is for Dr Alex Alexander, South Brisbane QLD

I went to Dr Alexander when I fell pregnant with my son and was very happy that I chose him. When I had my first child it was in a different state so I felt a little daunted chosing an obstetrician here in Brisbane especially with no recommendations from anyone. Dr Alexander was a great choice because he is a lovely doctor who is very thorough and reassuring. I would highly recommend Dr Alexander to anyone looking for an obstetrician for having a child through the private health system.

I have been to this salon on 2 occasions now and both times I was very happy with the result. On both occasions I had a colour, cut, treatment and straighten. Vanise is a very lovely hairdresser and she takes her time to make sure the job is done properly. If you are in a rush let her know at the beginning as the first time I was in there for quite a while. She also offers you coffee and refreshments throughout. A little pricey but worth it.

This review is for Best Buys Discount Food Stores, Eagleby QLD

We visited this store last weekend because they had some really good specials advertised and were really impressed at the variety and quality of food they had there. The prices are fantastic too, you can definitely get some great bargains here. They are an outlet for discounted food but they also sell a really good range of New Zealand food also. They had my husband's favourite ice cream he had as a child in New Zealand and he could never find here, I think that made his month!

This review is for Hummer Limousines, Yatala QLD

I bought a scoopon deal from this company last year for my husbands birthday and it was a pretty good experience. The Hummers are very impressive looking from the outside but on the inside they are looking a little worn and tired. One problem we had was that the air con wasn't on at the back and it was stinking hot back there & our driver had to pull over for 10 minutes to get it working so that ate into our 1 hour hire time which felt like a bit of a let down. The rest of the ride was fun and I'd recommend it for a fun night out but do ring and confirm booking at least a few days prior as their communication is not the best.

This was actually one of the nicest weekend getaways I have had with my family. We decided to stay here based on a good review my brother had given me of the place and was pleasantly surprised as how lovely this resort is. I was a little worried we would get bored as it is quite a bit out from Surfers Paradise but they actually run free shuttles into Surfers several times a day which is great. We didn't even end up needing it as we found the resort had plenty to entertain us for the whole weekend without leaving. The rooms are modern and comfortable, I would say the bathrooms could do with a little updating though. The pool area is great, a small pool for kids, a couple of slides a pool menu with really yummy food. There are so many dining options here. We went to the Italian restaurant which was lovely and the Teppenyaki restaurant which was fantastic. The resort is set on a gold course and one morning we went for breakfast at the cafe they have which is right on the first tee and it was just such a nice experience sitting there having breakfast watching people tee off on a beautiful day. The best part for me was the really cool playground they have for kids, I have two little ones and they absolutely loved it, the jumping pillow is the coolest thing ever. I will be going back to this place and next time I'm going for longer because a weekend is just not enough.

This review is for RACV Noosa Resort, Noosa Heads QLD

Wow this place is fantastic for a family holiday. We booked a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom apartment which was probably the roomiest apartment I have ever stayed in. Having the 3rd bathroom was a great perk. The apartments themselves are modern and clean with fantastic views over the resort and sanctuary. There is a great pool area where you can order food and drinks. There is a restaurant on site which is lovely, I had a great birthday dinner there. There is also a day spa on site which I went to and it was the best massage I have ever had. One great perk is that there is a free shuttle which takes you into Noosa that runs 4 or 5 times a day which makes it so convenient. There are two things letting this place down though, one is they need a playground for kids like at other RACV resorts and they don't have a BBQ area, you have to pay to hire one which I don't think is fitting with a family holiday resort.

This review is for P&O Cruises, St Leonards NSW

I recently did a 2 night cruise on the Pacific Dawn from Brisbane to Sydney for a hen's weekend and had a great time. The ship itself is not the ultimate in luxury but it was clean and comfortable. We had an oceanview cabin which was nice to see the ocean first thing in the morning when you wake up. The restaurants are all actually really good, we had 3 and 4 course lunches and dinners that I would be happy to get in any normal A la carte restaurant. It's fantastic value because the food alone is worth what you pay for the cruise. The cocktails are great and such affordable prices and so many activities to chose from, bingo is a blast. All in all you cant get better value than this for a holiday and it's very hard not to have a good time on one of these cruises.

This review is for Mantra Suncity, Surfers Paradise QLD

I had high expectations when I booked this hotel for my family holiday as the last time I had stayed there I remembered it being so nice. Unfortunately it feels like not much has been done to upkeep the propertly. The apartments are well outdated and the furniture is just daggy now. The pool area is still nice and there is a great slide but unfortunately it was closed for maintenance while we were there which was really dissapointing. It's a shame as the hotel still has so much potential and still looks great from the outside but much like other Mantra properties the maintenance has let it down. In my opinion it's too overpriced for the condition of the rooms.

This review is for Mantra Wings, Surfers Paradise QLD

Mantra Wings is a great place to stay on the Gold Coast if you are looking for comfortable spacious apartments to stay with your family without needing to be in the middle of all the action. As it is located halfway between Cavill Mall and Broadbeach it's not really walking distance to either but there are plenty of public transport options. There is a nice pool area and it's close to the beach so it's great for families. What I like about this hotel is that the rooms are quite affordable for the Gold Coast and there is also a day spa on premises which is very convenient. Unfortunately like most Mantra properties they need to spend more time maintaining the property, some areas felt a little dirty for such a new building which is a shame. But all in all it's a pretty nice place and I'd stay there again.
