This review is for 38 Espresso, Kingston ACT

38 Espresso is a lovely small cafe on the Kingston Foreshore, lovely views to be had when sipping on a coffee and the Butterbing cookie sandwiches that they sell ( I must eat). The cafe has a small menu, but decent enough range of selections to choose from, sadly my toddler was being so antsy, so we only stopped for drinks and a Butterbing. Lovely service and very accommodating.

This review is for Miso Japanese Restaurant, Sydney NSW

Miso was a lovely Japanese restaurant that I have a first always walked past, but never went in, this time my friend and I decided to eat there. This restaurant was so busy, because patrons were eager to order the limited edition daily special. I ordered the tender pork belly udon soup, the broth was a light soy and miso broth and it was surprisingly not salty, the pork belly in the soup was tender and delicious. My friend ordered the lunch special and it looked spectacular and plentiful, quite worth the price. Hard to get the attention of the staff, they are always so busy.

This review is for The Ohbar Thai 1982, Sydney NSW

The Ohbar Thai 1982 was a newish Thai restaurant that I discovered on Groupon. The menu is quite diverse, but a tad more expensive than most of the Thai restaurants nearby, for example, one pork neck small skewer was $3.50. We ordered the pork belly fish sauce, this dish was a tad bland, it would've been better with more seasoning. The ka prow chicken dish we ordered was very flavoursome and is nicely complimented when ordered with coconut rice. Overall the food was nice, just a tad more expensive than neighbouring Thai restaurants. Loved the hip ambience of the restaurant.

This review is for Harry's Singapore Chilli Crab Restaurant, Sydney NSW

I went for lunch with a friend to Harry's, we did not order their famous crab, but we did order the garlic barramundi stir fry and steamed chicken dim sim. Unfortunately the dish did not meet the expectations, both dishes tasted so bland and flavourless, such a huge disappointment. On the positive note, the ambience of the restaurant is lovely. I found it hard to get the attention of the staff, they were always so pre occupied.

This review is for 678 Korean BBQ, Sydney NSW

verified email - 08 Mar 2017

768 is hands down the best Korean BBQ that I have ever eaten, I did not know it existed until my friends introduced me to the place. (the place looks hidden).

They have a huge menu, there is so many different types of meat to order for bbqing. My favourite was the shallot bulgogi and the spicy pork belly. The condiments were so good, I have no idea what this red sauce was, but it was delicious. The place did nto get smokey when we bbqed stuff, so I did not walk out smelling like smoke.

The service is lovely too and very attentive.

This review is for Capital Kitchen, Chadstone VIC

Capital Kitchen was a lovely find when we went to visit Chadstone, we wanted to find a toddler friendly cafe and this cafe was perfect. Capital Kitchen is a HUGE cafe and it has a range of tables and couches for you to sit on (perfect for toddlers) and they have a section where you can help yourself to water. Whilst at Capital Kitchen, we only ate from the sweet selection, we ordered the tea cake and scones, both were absolutely divine, The coffee was alright. I noticed that they have a wide variety of lunch options too. Great efficient service, which is necessary because they get so busy.

This review is for Kurtosh, Randwick, Randwick NSW

Kurtosh Cafe is a lovely cafe, it is not a big cafe, but it has a lot to offer. Kurtosh Cafe sells a wide variety of cakes, including their famous strawberry sponge cake, cheesecakes, brownies and mousse cakes. The cakes are actually sold per weight, which is genius if you want to try a variety of cakes. I bought the hazelnut torte and the strawberry sponge cake, both were very delicious. The service was a tad scattered, there were a lot of staff at the counter, but they seemed to be busy with other things, took us a while to get served.

This review is for The Plump Duck, Sydney NSW

verified email - 23 Feb 2017

The Plump Duck is a fairly new restaurant in World Square Shopping Centre, their main focus is their peking duck. I went here with a friend and we were at first in awe of the ambience of the restaurant, it looked stunning. The service was immediately hospitable. We ordered the peking duck for two people. The peking duck was very delicious, they actual gave each person their own serving of peking duck, pancakes and condiments. I hope to come back again one day to try the other dishes on their menu.

This review is for Agathé Pâtisserie, South Melbourne VIC

Agathe Patisserie is my favourite place in Melbourne to buy the best croissants and the most amazing croque monsieur. Every time I come to Melbourne, I have to make a visit. Agathe Patisserie also sells a wide variety of amazing looking cakes, but I have not tried them yet because I am normally visiting in the morning. You can watch them make the cakes etc and you can see how much they love their work. I suggest getting there early before they run out.
