I have shop at elphin continental cakes so many times over the years that i have lost count how many times i have been there. Their food is divine, especially their cheese and bacon pasties. They make awesome birthday cakes and you can order from a great range of styles and flavours. They are a bit pricey for the cakes but they are could quality and always fresh. The only problem i have had with elphin continental cakes is when i was in there one day ordering something for lunch, i overheard the owner being rude and arrogant to his staff. I felt for the woman that was serving me as she looked very embarrassed that i had overheard what was being said. The store had a few other in it at the time as well and they all heard it. To me you do not speak to your staff like that in front of paying customers and shouldnt have been so rude and arrogant to his workers in the first place.

This would have to be the best zoo i have ever been to. I have only been here once a few years back and my daughter and i had a ball. We loved that you could go in with a lot of the animals and feed them. My daughter loved going on the safari bus ride to feed the bigger animals like the emus, alpacas, camels and a buffalo if i remember correctly. I loved the camel especially when it stuck its head in the bus and tried to get the food off one lady and licked her face. we thought that was funny as. Wasnt very fond of the emus as they were constantly sticking there heads in trying to get the food out of your hands. I didnt see one at the side of the bus and it stuck its head in and took bag of food straight out of my hand. i jumped so high i landed on the floor. My daughter thought that was hilarious. They have a range variety of animals and most of them you can interact with.
There is a kids playground to keep the kids entertained as well. You can pack some meat and have a bbq or there is a cafe inside where you can buy something to eat.
We cant wait to go back there to see the tigers which werent there when we went.

I purchased a few items from Kellie when she first started making jewellery and was very pleased with the items. My favourite thing would have to be her bag hangers. My daughter was constantly asking me to buy her new ones to put on her school bag. Her stuff is cheap and i love that she will personalize your items to what you want to make it more special. She sells a great range of jewellery, hair accessories, clothing, mobile dangles, knitting accessories and lots more. Kellie is really helpful and will answer any questions asap. She is very prompt with orders and charges a flat rate of $4 for postage which i think is cheap. Now that i have found her on the internet again i will have to place an order for my daughters birthday.

I have brought from grubby's butchery so many times that i have lost count. His meat is always so cheap and has a great variety. We use to buy his hamburgers all the time as you could get 10 for $3. I stopped buy them as i got one batch that was very fatty and had a lot of grit in them. Mind you grubby was away when i brought them so could have just been the new guy that made them wrong. Other than that i have never had a problem with his meat. Grubby himself always stops and has a talk with you when you go in the store and his always smiling. Parking is not the best as it is on a main road and there is only 2 parking spots out the front but there is a bus stop just up from there so if you use public transport it is excellent.

Pearts are a very cheap shop to go to get your watch batteries changed. They will change them while you browse the store. They sell lots of cheap items including ornaments, gift-ware, craft goods, toys, rugs, kitchen items and lots more. I have always found the staff to be extremely nice and very helpful. They offer a 6 week layby on some of their item which can be extended if you make weekly payments and keep in contact with them.
I love going in and looking at their tiger and Buddha items.

Putt it golf is the best mini putt putt golf in tasmania. We often go down to play a game or two. It is for all ages not just kids. People that have never hit a golf ball in their life can also play and i can guarantee you will have lots of fun and laughs. But dont be fooled by the name of mini putt putt because some of the holes can be very tricky. I hit the ball 20 times on a par 4 before getting it in the hole. my partner and daughter couldnt stop laughing at me. The prices are reasonable to play and you can also bundle it with the jumping pillow for a little extra. The kids can spend 30 minutes on jumping pillow while you relax and have a coffee and a snack at the cafe next door. Definitely a great family day out.

I took my daughter here a few years back and was really disappointed. You could not interact with the animals like you can in another zoo in Tasmania. We walked the whole zoo in less than an hour. For how much we paid we expected a little more than we seen.
The animal we seen the most of was kangaroos. The reptile enclosure was closed. The staff were friendly. From what i remember they had a small gift shop inside and wasn't badly priced for their items.

i have shopped at encore so many times over the years. i think it is the best secondhand clothing shop i have ever walked in to. Their clothes are washed and ironed on site before going into the store. They are very cheap and when they have their special days you can pick up some great clothes at bargain prices. My daughter prefers to go here to buy clothes than a normal shop as she gets lots of clothes for the same price of a couple of items in a normal store. They have clothes for every person. They also sell linen, shoes, curtains and books. What i like the most is that all their profit goes to help the disabled.

I have brought a few secondhand computers from here over the years and have always found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. They sell new and used computer equipment and at a very reasonable price. The store is well set out and everything is easy to find.

I use to shop regularly with Jr minerals when they first started selling online. I am glad i have found them online again so i can start buying again.
I loved their natural soaps especially their goats milk soap. It would have to be one of the best i have used so far. another item i use to buy a lot of was their all purpose healing balm. I would use this on my daughter eczema and mine as well and it worked really well. The prices are really good and i liked how they offered samples at a small cost for you to try before buying the bigger packs.
They sell a range of mineral makeups, creams, makeup brushes, gemstones and lots more.
