Lovely Grocery store. This one stands out because of the lovely customer service and the variety of frozen dumplings in the upright freezers! I love this one, please do try it!
The prices at Kim Wang's seem to have been getting better and better. The fantastic green vegetables at the front of the store are much cheaper than any other market, and there are all the lovely usuals. An Adelaide institution!
A useful little restaurant with lovely little ceramics in the windows. I have come here a few times for bowls, teapots and the like. The groceries are the same price as any other supermarket, but the standout is the ceramics!!
Their pasties are a little bland, but their sweets are to die for! If you are looking for somewhere to eat when everything else is closed, I recommend the bacon cheese pastries, the pies and the sweets.
I recently bought some gorgeous green chairs from the loveliest vintage homewares store, Littlest Vintage. This place has everything, from vintage planter boxes, to dishes sets, to the odd bits of gorgeous clothing, to furniture. If you are interested in vintage, these guys are cheap and fantastic.
Wonderful vintage store with a truly eclectic range of wares. I love that there are so many crazy, unique items, and Nadia's accessories are wonderful! The prices are fantastic, too, so you can find what you like at a price you can afford.
I used to live around the corner from Benevento. Their food is a little inconsistent, but generally good. Their margherita or the one with the bocconcini and tomatoes are the best, as their specialty seems to be a hot, crusty pizza base with fresh ingredients, and some of the others are a bit too cheezy/heavy on the topping.
It can take awhile for the food you want to arrive, or come out if it is fresh ordered. But Star House has some of the best yum cha in Adelaide, for my money. Of course, I have never been to Hong Kong, and so my palate is probably uneducated, but if you like Adelaide style Yum Cha, you will love Star House!
Utterly wonderful gelato! So many colours and flavours to choose from, and so authentic. My mother and sisters all live in the area, so this place is a local favourite. There's a reason they are so full all the time!
Amazing san choy bow, amazing shallot pancakes, amazing BBC! Wah Hing is a solid 4 - they are consistent and delicious, if a little unsurprising. If you are looking for a quick meal on Gouger, I totally recommend Wah Hing.
