This review is for T-Chow Chinese Restaurant, Adelaide SA

T-chow continues to be totally inconsistent. The dishes are sometimes fabulous, sometimes terrible. My friend swears by them, and as a vegetarian, is often very attached to the places where she can get good chinese. But the weirdest thing happened the last time we were there - I tasted some of her vegetables, and realised there was fish sauce in it. I asked them, and they agreed there was fish sauce in the dinner.

It's kind of crazy that they don't provide a proper vegetarian menu in this day and age!

All in all, the main reason I come here is because my friends do. Otherwise, I might not darken their doors again!

Darrell Lea is home of the boiled lolly, and for that, they get 5 stars, but their chocolate is a little more average... If you are looking for chocolate, perhaps look elsewhere, but if you want lollies, Darrell Lea is fantastic!

This gift and jewellery store is incredible. It has a great variety of items, ranging from the incredibly affordable, to the once-a-year splurge. There are cushions, shoes, brooches, wall hangings, candles and candle holders, purses... all sorts of wonderful knicknacks and needmores. I absolutely recommend this place as one of the first ports of call when you are after a gift for someone special!

I love Irving Baby!! They have great vintage clothing, in a variety of sizing. I love their accessories and little knicknacks too - if you've not visited Irving Baby, you'll be surprised by the quality and variety of their wares. What a wonderful store!!

This review is for Red House Cafe, North Adelaide SA

Our experience at the Red House Cafe was very inconsistent. The staff were nice, but a bit too laid back and not attentive enough to our needs. The place is advertised as having good airconditioning, but we found it a little hot and stuffy.

The decor is lovely. The cafe is situated in an old railway station, and there is railway memorabilia and gorgeous vintage pictures on the walls, truly a lovely vibe.

The coffee was apparently decent, but my cup of tea was so disgusting I didn't drink it - and I will drink anything. It was so weak and nasty, having been made with a tea leaves dangler, rather than a tea bag. I even requested a second tea bag, but perhaps the brand they use is bad, because I couldn't get the tea strong enough to drink. So awful tasting!

The breakfasts are a great idea - you can build your own breakfast, and the prices are reasonable. But half the items were overcooked and a few were undercooked, so there was a feeling of everything being hurried and poorly considered. I cook great poached eggs at home, so if I am paying for them, I don't want overcooked eggs!

The serving sizes were fabulously generous, and I realise this is quite a new cafe. I am not in a hurry to go back, but I can imagine the place might become more consistent as time goes on.

There is great potential for this cafe to be amazing, given the beautiful location and the effort that has gone into the design and decor. With airconditioning and a better cook, I am sure this place will be fantastic!

This review is for Two Birds One Stone, South Yarra VIC

I ate here with my friend as it is situated opposite the hotel I was staying at. The food was lovely, but slightly overpriced in a city full of amazing, reasonably priced cuisine. I ate a wagyu beef burger which was amazing, and my friend had some sort of tuna concoction. It was great, but I don't know that the fanfare was so necessary for lunch! I would recommend this place for a special occasion, or if your wallet is fat and you want to give it some exercise!

This review is for Delivery Boyz, Adelaide SA

The service these guys offer is fantastic. I can sympathise with the the other reviewer in that their service does not seem to be perfectly aligned with their intentions.
I didn't receive an itemised receipt for my transaction - just a paypal transaction, with all the costs lumped into one transaction, so I didn't know what each item had cost - which is not optimal, given Australian consumer law makes it clear that itemised receipts are a must.

However: I was in a tight spot. I had just had a wisdom tooth taken out, and I was doped up to my eyeballs on painkillers so I couldn't drive. I thought I had purchased enough food to last me, but I was out, and my painkillers were low.

So I used this service, and they were a TOTAL GODSEND!! They brought me soup and painkillers, and their costs were $15 for the initial delivery, $5 for the second delivery, and some surcharge of a few dollars which I dont totally understand.

Although their communication is a bit terrible, paying around $22 to have totally life saving soups and painkillers delivered to me when I was in desperate need, was entirely worth it. A fabulous service that I am sure will get better with time.

I would give this cafe 5 stars, but my sandwich bread was a little dry. Otherwise, a perfect little cafe. A great location, snuggled in behind the hustle and bustle of Rundle Street, Nano is often busy, and has a reputation for fantastic coffee.

Lovely hot chocolate, perfect desserts! Cocolat is still going strong. There is nothing more perfect than sitting in a comfortable cafe with the scent of freshly brewing chocolate and coffee wafts over you!

This review is for Providore, Adelaide SA

I love Providore. Their apple cake and their chocolate mousse cake are utterly amazing, and I have always sung their praises. I do have to say though, that recently their prices have gone up. I am aware that this is because of inflation etc, but it's sad to watch them go from an affordable, amazing gem, to something that one can only enjoy on a rare occasion.
