Great music venue on Smith St. Always good bands playing and a decent size venue. Staff are friendly. They also run some markets on some Sundays where you can rummage for records and buy second hand. Also open late to 5am on Friday/Saturday which makes it great for a big night out.

I've now moved twice with these guys. Always friendly, occasionally talk a bit much (time is money in this business) but overall take good care of your belongings and try their best to deliver good value. I'll definitely move with them again.

Great little joint. I haven't been in awhile because I ate far to many of their burritos in a short amount of time! I got burrito-ed out I think. All vego, so warn your meat eater friends. They move around the corner to a larger shop a couple of years ago which is great. They also have beers, which definitely draws more punters in.

Wonderful staff working at Doctor Java. When I was in the area more often they recognised me and occasionally popped in a little cake which was lovely. Quality was always good and always had a spare seat (despite the store being bustling) which I appreciated.

One of my favourite pubs to go for a meal before a night out in Fitzroy. Excellent pub food, always generous serves and a great menu. Pub it off the main road which gives it a great atmosphere. Usually a bit crowded, but you'll usually find a table in the end. Great atmosphere to start off your weekend. Good vego and vegan options. Rooftop is always good in summer as well.

I had lunch here with a couple of friends on a lazy public Sunday. The food was top notch as was the service. There was plenty of space to sit inside as the building technically spreads across at least 3 buildings. One room had a fire which was a bit smokey so we sat in the old courtyard(?) area which had been covered. Will definitely return. Not sure how things are at night but lunch was very pleasant and relaxed.

A great little burger joint and pub tucked away off Brunswick Street. Away from the hustle and bustle the Tramway offers a great range of meals. They cater to vego and vegan tastes as well as a great range for the meat eaters (I spotted lamb and kangaroo burgers on the menu) as well as the old classics. Chips are thick cut and cooked to perfection. It's worth booking ahead because things to fill up, even if you're there on a Monday night. We had a big group of over 10 and they put us on a huge table in the middle which was perfect.
Burgers aren't the cheapest, you're looking around the $16-$20 mark, and strangely vego eats aren't cheaper (I generally find they're a few dollars less), but quality and quality are where the extra few dollars come in.
I'd definitely recommend this little gem.

One of the best customer service experiences I've had in awhile. Ordering on the phone the gent on the other end was very friendly and helpful in advising the spiciness of the food. When I went in to pick it up he was happy to talk for a moment as the bill processed. It's really lovely to see staff enjoying their job. The food was also lovely and the spice level just right (we got medium). I'll definitely be back, hopefully to get the eat in experience next time.

Nice newer cafe in West Brunswick. I headed here with a friend the other week for lunch. Menu tended to lean towards and all day breakfast with plenty of quirky things on the menu. I kept things simple with poached egg, avo, salmon and hollandaise sauce. Meal was good, and the eggs poached just right. Wasn't too busy for a lunchtime which was good. They also have a nice outdoors area but it was raining so we didn't head out. Overall a nice place that I'll visit again.

One of my favourite little lunch spots in the city. Cheap toasted sandwiches and rolls made just like your mum did. Prices are very reasonable - more like the bakery on the corner rather than a place in the CBD where a basic toastie can edge up to $7 or $8.
The older man and woman who run this little gem are lovely and friendly. Quick to whip up a delicious lunch and never skimp on the fillings.
